I made this. How accurate is it?
I made this. How accurate is it?
nah
Depression follows hedonism, the only way to not be depressed is to not drink and binge netflix every given chance
This is incorrect, almost exclusively so
Not very.
>the only way to not be depressed is to not drink
>not be depressed is to not drink
>not drink
You havin a giggle m8?
I don't believe in God, I'm not Depressed, and I am also right wing and extremely against hedonism.
This is shit.
> Christianity
> Mind and God are the same thing
Wtf? I've read quite a bit of philosophy of religion and have literally never seen anyone make this claim. Actually, it's a lot more of an atheistic thing to say, in rationalizing religion.
cont...
I might have actually believed it, if they switched it around. Since Hinduism loosely believes each person is a God, which could loosely be translated to your mind is God, and then Buddhism is all about mental states, and mental clarity being the way to become one with the universe, which could again be loosely interpreted as the mind being god.
But Christianity? Nah.
you forgot to add humanist atheism that is basically christianity 2.0
Aside from the fact that you basically put a self-insert mary sue into your fucking flowchart (atheist depressed), the first two chains are also opposite, and even then aren't strictly correct
Terrible.
>Do you believe in god
No
>Are you depressed
Yes
>Then you value philosophy and art
Not at all.
Your chart is shit, OP.
Wrong on both branches I'm afraid. Philosophy and art are ultimately still done for pleasure, allbeit a deeper-feeling and more long term pleasure to some than drugs/sex etc. Aesthetic/intellectual persuits are simply hedonism with a bit more long-term thinking. I can verify this as I value philosophy and art and I am extremely happy in my life.
The other branch is a bit closer to the mark but still wrong. In that "mind" and "god" are composed of the same substance in christianity is true, however, "mind" generally signifies a finite amount of that substance, and "god" an infinite amount.
>you must be atheist and depressed to value art and philosophy
NO
this is bait
shh!
nigga have you read even like one book about eastern philosophy or what
I can't speak for Chinese Philosophies but in Vedic (Buddhist and Hindu) belief difference and separation between things is an illusion of consciousness so your mind is very much identifiable with God
This is the most pseud shit I've seen all month in the most pseud board on 4channels.net
Shouldn't you switch the Eastern and Western ones?
> In Christianity mind and God are the same thing
Either this requires different phrasing or is completely wrong. One of the essential tenets of Christianity is man's separation from God, ontologically and relationally.
