I should add we had a mechanism to monitor course attendance and sporadic lectures would be registered, however almost no systems or pathophysiology would ever be registered, it was always the "public" health ones. You had to attend those, whereas learning to be a good doctor was optional.

I won't pretend to understand the contents---my field is EE---but browsing the titles, it seems there's a lot of papers linking socioeconomic status to heart disease. Im not american but likely not, the establishment put up a monumental fight against someone who was like them all along so i doubt a genuine change would even get out the gate.

Things like diabetes being due to low income when the people coming into the local clinic smoke, eat out non stop and spend more a week on food than i do and i lift. That hiv isnt a disease of ivdus and gays when we recently had a breakout in my city and charting it was just a map of grindr usage. That health tourism isnt a thing when all nhs budgets show it to be true and my city has a high tb rate, despite historically being non-existent. That we need to move services away from the affluent part of town because other areas can't stop smoking and need clinics. That iq isnt heritable and is instead based on upbringing and so we should strive to rebalance wealth and education.
