ITT: Math and Science things you hate to do

>polynomial long division
>repeated integration by parts

>any kind of rote symbolic computation that takes more than two lines
>write +C after an integral

>classify all groups of order n

damn tht semen demn

yeah fuck that. also anything to do with centralizers, normalizers, or the sylow theorems

>integration
>differentiation
>trigonometry

Where do you want to go for med school?

watch vihart videos.

Bitch pisses me off so much.

I hate tedious shit much more than I hate difficult shit. So Simpson's approximations are up there for me.

Having trouble in high school?

le math are my feee weees and so creativitity! :D

>I'm a mathemusician

After taking calc 3
Changing coordinate systems for non trivial boundaries

No joke, Im working on my math phd and I don't know how to do polynomial division. Im not kidding. I just never learned it.

>repeated integration by parts
That shit drove me nuts. It's not hard it's just super fucking tedious.

Have you never taken calculus two? how do you integrate a rational function with a higher power in the numerator than the denominator?

Lel, most math PhDs that aren't into real anal or something like that (even some that are into it) are shit at basic calc. That doesn't mean you shouldn't take a course on it.

sequester non-unique groups by placing boundaries around all reals in the set.

Row operations where the numbers will inevitably turn out to be fractional or have root functions. Fuck your shit and fuck my professor telling everyone to buy a graphing calculator to save time on exams.

Sesame Street Uni.

>polynomial long division
That is fun though. Super easy stuff like that is fun to play around with.

[math]\lambda.\lambda = \lambda \lambda[/math]

I don't believe you.

>repeated integration by parts
It's meh to perform, but it's really nice when you realize it's the only thing standing between you and a complete derivation.

>solve systems
>multiply matrices
>determine determinants
>prove properties of algebraic structures
Come to think of algebra is nothing but rote skill and only people who can unironically like it are autists who get excited at any inkling of symmetry.

those were just never on the test

>finding the asymptotic expansion of a differential operator in scaled curvilinear coordinates

I can look up the ones I need, but I feel like a pleb doing it.

I actually find both of those things fun because of the repetition. Whenever I'm bored, sometimes I'll multiply out things like (x+5)^10 or something.

>this whole post
did you fail linear algebra or something? take at least one higher algebra course before calling it all 'rote skill' lmao

I am pissed now and can't explain why

Use tabular method retard

Series solutions to ODE's.

Not hard or anything, just a lengthy task that isnt very mentally challenging nor satisfying.

Lewis Structures, goddamn tedious.

If you aren't trolling it is ridiculously easy and you aren't missing anything.

Hand drawing graphs. Especially when spreadsheet programs are a thing.

THIS HOLY FUUUUUUUh

She's a jew. Thats why she shows up first in math related content.

>write +C after an integral
That is why you never calculate indefinite integrals in practice. Whoever had the + C idea instead of proposing an alternative = sign is a faggot anyways.

I like it when the cyclic trick works though, for things like exp(x)sin(x)

the +c is important because it's an infinite set of solutions

the +c becomes extremely relevant when you study linear algebra and differential equations

Shouldn't you be able to derive it from first principles at phd level?

Can you formally prove this?

It's still abuse of notation. Formally you should write the set of functions

the computational portion of linear algebra

arithmetic is king ur weak

I don't see how you get through Algebra without knowing that.

>uncertainties
>approximation
>anything that has to do with stats

how could you fail to learn it, it's just long division without bullshit borrowing, just like polynomial multiplication is normal multiplication without bullshit carrying

kill yourself right this instant

>do high school algebra and calculus
>have cleavage
>1M subscribers
I hate women.

centralizers and normalizers sure, but I like sylow theorems for proving a group is simple.

Anyone should have seen Euclidean division in an abstract algebra course in undergrad.

if u talkin fractional uncertainties and SEM u my nigga

Why i find this girl so attractive
