Just paid $50 euros for this what am I in for?

M(ob)y Dick

To have been ripped off holy shit

>€50 for a fucking Everyman's Library
You're in for some regret. I've bought a copy of Dubliners from the same publishing house for €10.

I mean I love Everymans Library but user, be smart with your finances. Penguin Classics' hardcover is about half that. As a novel though it is quite enjoyable.

>$50 euros

not much im afraid...

You can get Everyman's for much cheaper the price and under £10 without having to resort to downloading them online, I can usually find a bunch in a charity shop I frequent for £2

Are you fucking retarded?

Calm down, guys. It's just bait.

I have that version; it's quality.

You were ripped off though.

That's a big book.

The greatest American novel for too much money.

>tfw you want Everyman's Library books but you're poor and never see them at second hand shops.

>$50 euros
what

How, oh how, did you spend 50 dollars on an Everyman's Library edition? I've at most spent 20 dollars and that was something significant like Goethe's works. On average you should only be spending like 8 - 14 dollars on Everyman's.

for a fa/tv/irgin

A novel about whales and homosexuality.

WHITENESS

A book for boys

Wrong.

I've purchased like 6 Loeb books for $26 each..

You can read this free on Clickhole.

if i liked the old man and the sea i would like this?

>euros
kek

...who knew Everyman Library was coveted. I just gave away three copies that happened to be printed by that to a friend. Oh well, hope she enjoys them

Unnecessary and overwrought prose.

You're a fucking white whale

Actually taking a Melville class this semester. Anyone have some essay idears?

...

>mfw paid U$ 3,50 for my brand-new copy

=)

I think the question was about the actual contents of the book. Expect a crazed captain of a ship trying to get a whale. That's about as much as I really understood. May have to read again.
Oh yea, I got a fancy version like you but it was only 5 bux

MOBY DICK IN FIVE WORDS

Sail. Tail pale whale. Fail.

Why don't you just read it and find out yourself? Are you that retarded?

what a funny world
i just download for free for my kindle

I'd rather than read 700 pages in a screen for free
