What are most Veeky Forums films?

...

Bird Peopl in China

...

Everything by Alejandro Jodorowsky and David Lynch.

how about college students trying to look clever don't post?

> this much of a babby first "weird" movies pleb

What board do you think this is?

not that guy but if you don't think lynch is a masterful director you literally don't know shit about cinema

not either of those guys but i agree with this

ophuls is pretty Veeky Forums imo

OP asked what movies are Veeky Forums. Being in the mindset of a college student trying to look clever is the WHOLE FUCKING POINT OF THIS THREAD.

it's like if somebody said, "hey, what's a good book?" and you said Infinit Jest.
It doesn't even matter if you're right, that answer basically reveals you to not have any personal taste or opinions

>appreciating quality art means you don't have discerning taste if the art is popular

dumb post

It's like if you said "hey what's your favorite classical artist" and you named any of the top 20 most famous classical artists.
It doesn't even matter if you're right, that answer basically reveals you to not have any personal taste or opinions

desu

Synecdoche New York.

Rohmer

Stalker

Pather Panchali or really anything else by Satyajit Ray

Jodorowsy is utter trash

also a hack

autism: the posts

roadside picnic was the shit. I wish I could say things like Colossus the Forbidden Project, or even Dune but sadly no director will ever invasion Frank Herberts true book, neither jodorowsky or david lynch.

Solaris desu

Infinite Jest isn't that popular. Maybe it is on Veeky Forums and among English majors and certain circles, but if you asked a random person on the street about it they would probably have no clue what you're talking about

Tarkovsky knew his stuff

Anything Tarkovsky really.

roadside picnic was approx. a billion times more interesting than the boring shitfest that was stalker.

picnic at hanging rock

...

And what exactly do you have against Wes Anderson?

you forgot nuri bilge ceylan, therefore I call you a pleb.

I looked at your list again, are these names ring a bell, pleb?

Yorgos Lanthimos
Pawel Pawlikowski

>not understanding Tarkovsky's film
bait harder newfag

yeah, sure

this

everything he did is colourful delicate shit for tumblr pansies

>no miike
>no ki-duk
>no sang-soo
>no kar-wai
>no fucking lynch
>de palma not top tier

Decent taste overall but way too biased toward the English speaking world

Awful post. Why did you even bother?

HOUR OF THE WOLF

this film is so fucking brilliant
the titular character reminds me of a post-modern caulfield

I really love cinema, but i struggle to 'get into it' as much as I would say, music. For example, music has platforms such as soulseek, the /mu/ archives, shit fucking tonnes of online journalism so its pretty easy to stay in the loop and discover new music constantly. However with film I can't really afford to buy DVD's constantly (especially shit like criterion, and it so happens that most of the films I like are on criterion), I don't really know of any journalism but nofilmschool, which is more techy shit anyway, /tv/ is fucked up bad, and the it's pretty difficult to find a lot of torrents. Hell, I even study film. where platforms do you guys use to discuss film, discover new films etc
