Inherent Vice movie

Did Pynchon really have a cameo in that movie?

...

Really?

No, it was a rumor.

don't derail my thread

I would but im on my phone. But its right after Martin Short runs off with his pants down

Love this movie, reading the book right now because of it. Mark Maron has a nice interview with PTA on his podcast where they talk about it a little. Apparently Pynchon liked the movie.

is Pynchon fun?
which of his books is the funniest?

I think every book of his has at least a few fun moments. Vineland has lots of silly fun, so does Inherent Vice.
Gravity's Rainbow is quite bleak but has some of the greatest Pynchon humour in it. Mason & Dixon is comfy fun.

You mean this part?

I went to an independent cinema to watch this film and there were two young lads in the back laughing their tits off randomly.

I dunno if Pinecone has a cameo but fuck whoever marketed it as The Big Lebowski 2.

rant over.

Yes! Thats him on the right

thanks

Thats definitely plausible. Also very clever as Pynchon with the bad teeth is ironically a dentist.

What did Pynchon mean by this?

I kek'd heartily at that scene.

His partner - the one who died - was black. It symbolises the love Bigfoot had for him.

>bad teeth
its just him being an anglo

pynchon is irish american
