>low empathy
You think people 500 years ago had more empathy? Are you retarded?
>inability to form strong friendships
How do you know that? Did you screen every person aged 25-35 and evaluated the strongness of their friendships? And, why does it matter for art? Vast majority of artists were always loners and recluses
>impatience, no long term planning
Modern life IS impatient, keep up or die.
>addiction to social media
You just contradicted all your previous points, good job.
Millenials
Those are some well thought out arguments bro, thanks.
I was shown this by my CS prof and I think he doesn'the mean that millenials are "fucked", he's just saying they have obstacles to get past that other generations didn't.
I stopped using social media after less than a year of it, so I do kinda look down on my peers for it. However, I do fit some of the things this guy says and I waste time on YouTube (Does that count as a social network?). In the end, I think these issues will hurt the future, but that is the same with every gen.
Here are some things wrong with boomers:
>low empathy
>inability to form strong friendships
>impatience, no long term planning
>addiction to social media
Boo-hoo, we raised our children on television, videogames, and unsupervised Internet access and now they're fucked in the head as a consequence.
We insisted that they should follow their dreams instead of being realistic and now they're unemployable with worthless credentials and deep in debt.
This is exactly like when you read Livy or Polybius.
"Oh all the youth do nowadays is go to parties and there are rumors of the bacchanal getting out of hand, they are nothing like their fathers who fought hannibal or their mothers who melted their jewelery. All they do is gamble and whore..."
Same shit. Read Henry III, poor Hal gets shit on for being young the whole time.
So what if they are true? It's not the end of civilization. Just no country for old men.
addicted to porn and weed should be here
well yeah
>thinks friends/followers on social media implies actual real life friendship
Not sure how exactly he contradicted any of his previous points. Unless you're also saying being on social media gives you higher empathy which is ridiculous.
