>An entire element
Someone please translate this for me before I explode.
He is talking about the most used element by men after plastic, the electron.
“…ONLY A LUNATIC WILL DRINK UNSTERILIZED WATER.”
— Nikola Tesla, when asked about his predictions for the next 100 years in an article appearing in Liberty magazine, February 9th, 1935
The element of power
What you all fail to realize is that even before Prometheus, WOMYN taught hu(wo)manity the power of the most important element of them all:
LOVE
the element of being NEET
Is there a more overrated person in history?
Hes the Neil Denigger Tyson of real scientists
the element of Reddit
he wasn't a scientist, and never claimed to be one.
i think you have a gross misunderstanding of who he was and what he did.
>control over an entire element
Stop. Go reread your nation science book
elaborate on your understanding
he invented the modern AC motor design-which remains largely unchanged- over 100 years ago.
this allows us to generate and transmit power efficiently for hundreds of miles, something preexisting DC couldn't.
that contribution alone makes him very significant
if it weren't for the micro transistor, he would be the single most influential electrician of all time
>he invented the modern AC motor design-which remains largely unchanged- over 100 years ago.
not just motors, but the generators / alternators as well. But it's his ideas on 3Φ systems where he departed from the common thinking of the day.
He didn't invent the AC motor, but he did improve it to a level that as you've said
>remains largely unchanged
He was an eccentric showman and was well known for his hyperbole
>pic related
>Tesla pranking the crowd with his miraculous toy
These days his hyperbole and some of his statements are in some cases deliberately misinterpreted today to ridicule his ideas.
I personally believe that his wireless transmission of power ideas are feasible. From my education in EE to my career in broadcasting I've learned quite a bit they didn't teach in school at the BS level.
I think the idea was considered so dangerous is one reason why is was suppressed.
But with modern use and understanding of waveguides and a better understanding of the dispersion relationships between antenna and energy in wave form it is easy to see how he was correct.
no the most used element by men is sugar.
Don't forget about Charles Proteus Steinmetz, who was probably one of the smartest men who ever lived and the inventor of the AC current itself. He wrote pages of complicated formulas involving electricity and magnetism, some spanning a small book in length. He also corrected a lot of the math on Einsteins relativity work, if not for him there probably wouldn't even be a theory of relativity,
sorry i don't know who that is.
i haven't heard about him in any text i've read
It's sad really, He is one of the forgotten forefathers of electricity. He had some sort of deformity in his spine so he sort of looks like a dwarf, you might know him from this famous photo of Einstein (who did not work at this facility nor with these people, he was just visiting.

Tesla literally invented nothing. Hippolyte invented AC current. Feel free to challenge me.

Wow I learned something today, you shall remain unchallenged good sir.

find prior example of Tesla's valvular conduit if he didn't invent it

If you want to understand electricity you need to study Steinmetz.
His information on impulses and non sinusoidal waveforms is vital if you want to understand the real world of power distribution.

Has literally anyone wirelessly transmitted electricity as efficiently as he did yet?
>Has literally anyone wirelessly transmitted electricity as efficiently as he did yet?
The Plekhanov brothers may have a few years back, it's hard to know as their program got shut down.

If only the FBI and Govt hadn't supressed his work and kept it for big business we would be in the 23rd century and all have free energy by now ;_;

What does that even mean?
its ok we got, Eric Dollard

Eh, gonna have to disagree with you considering Hilbert also worked on relativity, plus he gave lectures on the subject, don't know of him making anything near a major (or minor for that matter) contribution to relativity. I do consider him to be a better engineer than tesla though, and certainly brilliant to say the least
The element of suprise
You mean stealing inventions of others and giving it to the people as it was his?
that would be Edison, are you retarded?
