Enroll in an anthropology class

>enroll in an anthropology class
>first 2 lectures
>"cultural appropriation"
>"race doesn't exist"
>"Anthropologists have proven that capitalism doesn't work"
I thought this was a science class

You thought Anthropology was science? Is this your first day on Veeky Forums?

> confusing cultural anthropology for physical anthropology

I'm learning both

Damn I was considering anthropology, who wouldn't want to understand our history through the lense lucidi-oh wait

>anthropologists have proven capitalism doesn't work
>psychologists have proven evolution isn't real

drop that shit m8 so you can get your refund, or take it and bs your way through it with some earbuds on ( if prof allows earbuds).

be sure to agree with the professor and reenforce them on eevrythig for those good boy points

either you are taking this class as an elective not related to your degree, or your degree has no job prospects
you are getting what you deserve

You people are fucking retarded, it's like you go around looking for things to get angry at

Anthropology is infested with Progressive/liberal/Cultural Marxism. It is the most infested. Modern Anthopology is religion.

People in acedemia know this but their tolerance for uncomfortable truth has reach the level of a toddler.

Ask how racism exists in a species without race, then ask your professor why xe cares so much about a meaningless social construct after xir explanation.

A classic but still good

it is not often that someone describes this cesspool so succintly

>2nd day of human geography lecture
>environmental determinism is the idea that a climate and biome impacts the development of a society's culture and people
>we will almost always reject this notion in this room, it is antiquated and racist
What the fuck? I thought this was obvious!
He didn't say "but data shows that this isnt true" or "even though there is a lot of discussion to be had here, we will ignore it for now"
Just fucking "no das raycis"
Is there literally any reason that a society's biome would not be a major factor in determining its culture, or is shelter, food source, climate, coastal/inland, and so on just not part of "biome" now?
Or are these people willfully ruining the integrity of their field so that they can claim that "EVERYONE MADE THE SAME ADVANCEMENTS!"
The best way to defend african tribal stagnancy is through the idea of them not needing more advanced shelter due to their climate. Otherwise, you're forced to call it either crazy luck or a biological thing, which I think would be worse.
>Lets just avoid the topic altogether!
I fucking hate the soft sciences.

>learning what things are bad is bad
what did he mean by this?

>Capitalism works
>All capitalist societies are ridden with a huge group of people who want to collapse it

Pick one and only one. If capitalism is so good why can't it convince its users that it is good? And obviously I am not talking about poor people who may resent capitalism for simply not having money. Most communist and socialists in te US and Europe are white middle class 20-somethings with rich parents.

If Capitalism is so good then why does even the middle class and rich hate it?

>implying that 20-somethings who have had their life handed to them on a silver platter are a good judge of a economic systems values

Well, they are rich. They benefit from capitalism. Why do they oppose it?

I mean, how could a system be perfect if everyone inside it resents it for some reason or another?

I think it is better to say that capitalism is good. Capitalism was a good idea, but not perfect. Clearly capitalism is a placeholder for something bigger. What is it? Well, Papa Marx said it clearly. Capitalism brings abundance, abundance brings socialism, socialism brings communism. Communism is the ultimate system. Europe and the US are already at a point where they can make the jump to socialism and in a way we are taking steps there but not enough.

>leaving your ivory tower of pure math
>ever
you had it coming.

>do this
>get told I have an A without need to do final exams
>king of normies
>even some stacies have slept with me because i'm "smart"
LMAO

The reason many leftists oppose capitalism is because they have a deluded sense of "fair". They think everyone should receive the same amount, even if not everyone contributes the same amount.
Give one example of a communist system that didn't result in failure to meet basic human needs

irrelevant. Comunnism also had a lot of intellectuals opposed and disillusioned to it.
The correct answer is: despite how good an economic system is, people will over-magnify its flaws and dream of utopias, ignoring any evidence to the contrary.
That's humans for you. Luckily, there are things that just sort out themselves. If an economic system works it will prevail over other that its less efficient.

Or you could also say that the fitness of an economic model is not determined by what people think of it but by its actual persistence against competitor models.

>They think everyone should receive the same amount, even if not everyone contributes the same amount.
Nope. That is not what leftists think today and that isn't what Marx wanted either. Nice /pol/ propaganda though.

>HURR DURR Y IS COMMUNIST ALWAYS FAIL?
Not an argument. Capitalist societies have failed even more than communist societies. The only difference is that capitalism has been tried much more than communism so out of luck some capitalist societies have thrived. Pure trial and error.

Keep trying communism and we will get it right. We are at a good point for that in the US. Venezuela switched from capitalism to socialism too quickly, but the US is ripe for socialism
