Incorrect.
Math is our look at a perfect, eternal universe described by Plato.
Math is the reflection of that universe onto our own, the axioms by which that perfection can occur.
Physics is the error in our universe's copy of that perfection, and as such physics is "why we live in dogshit chaos"
Math might be invented in the sense that it doesn't exist in our universe, but it is discovered in the sense that we can see math through our universe's poor attempts to model the math in another perfect universe (in which it could be discovered literally, not just philosophically.)
