What's the deal with all the autists constantly posting about how they "feel exactly like Rick"? Is this really how most smart people feel or does Rick & Morty just attract a special flavor of cunt? It's baffling to me that you can be as smart as they claim to be and not realize how dumb you are.

All across America since Trump got elected there's been a very steady and vocal anti-science movement. Rick n Morty is a show that encourages science. I hate to go full Mccarthy but we know for a fact Russia is trying to divide and weaken every nation on the planet. Sabotaging interest in STEM is a great way to do that. Maybe Russia has declared war on Rick and Morty because it's too "sciency." I mean hell, they even had one episode where Rick goes Die Hard on kills and entire Russian embassy. In 2017 I wouldn't put it out of the realms of impossible.

I don't doubt plenty of people "feel like rick". If you aren't accepted into society and culture a person's natural defense mechanism is to believe they are too good for that culture. That they are special and society isn't good enough for them.

Rick, and the people who "feel like him", are at the level of intelligence where they are smart enough to see through a lot of the bullshit in the world that has normal people fooled, but not smart enough to apply that information to form independent opinions, or smart enough to have the self awareness to see how retarded they sound when they spout their shit.

I think people don't really understand what they mean when they say they are like Rick. They feel they are, and they rationalize that as 'I must be real smart'. In reality, they probably relate because they're nihilistic, jaded or self centered. It's easier to say 'I'm so smart I see life for what it is' than 'life has got me down and that feels bad man'.

This is a problem now, and natural selection will not fix it because theres no punishment for having children you cant afford, in fact, there are rewards for it in the form of government assistance. This is an issue that needs to be dealt with and theres no way to do that without first admitting the facts. The world would be better off with less black people. Its harsh but its true. They have every right to exist and i dont think they are any less entitled to the pursuit of happiness than anyone else. I still have this attitude in university and it's working out great for me.

Hmm, the thing is if you're in the top 10% of intelligence in your country you likely come off as a genius in highschool. Only in university I was encountering people who were much smarter than I am. I am basing 'smarter' in this case on how fast people pick up certain abstract concepts or master skills / overall knowledge. The difference is that people with inflated egos are not clear minded enough to notice the differences. Speaking with some profs and a few students opened my eyes to the intelligence gap.

The anti science climate in America comes from the fact that it's pushing political bullshit in the social sciences that is in no way scientific. People who hard core qualitative interviews to push feminism / diversity / multiculturalism argument and put the label science on it is where the 'anti science' crowd comes from. It's difficult to question mathemathical models because of the proof behind it which leads to them being acceptable as some sort of 'truth' (until someone comes with proof to dismantle those hypothesis), this allows further research to be build upon it. However what these idiotic social scientists are doing is in no way testing an hypothesis, it's more about confirming their pre conceived notions about how things are rather than researching a topic on the social climate.

If being against social sciences doing what they are currently doing is anti science, then I'm anti science. It's bullshit that in my university millions go to some kind of ''diversity commission'' no clue what they even do. Even bigger bullshit is that 1 of the 5 persons in that some commissions has affiliations with black supremacist groups. Biased paper after biased paper who piss on the scientific method is all I see from these kind of people. They get away with it since it fits into a political correct narrative.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also Rick’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick’s existential catchphrase “Wubba Lubba Dub Dub,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon’s genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. And yes, by the way, i DO have a Rick & Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it.
