Reality and evolution "doesn't care" about good or evil

>reality and evolution "doesn't care" about good or evil
>yet bad people always have easy lives and get away with it, while good people get shit upon

Explain this Veeky Forums. Why does reality have a slight bias in favour of bad people?

give examples of bad people

>he cant even define what constitutes a "good" action, let alone a "good" person

"Bad" people don't act evil for the fuck of it, they put themselves/most close ones above anyone else and their evil comes from the lengths they will go to achieve it. If reality cared about good or evil, the baddies would get their due, but it doesn't so they are left to enjoy the fruits of their actions

You clealy haven't read enough Shakespeare.

What "bad" people are you making your sample out of? Almost all significantly bad people (criminals, not just kind-of-a-dick-sometimes) either end up in prison or dead young.

I think I get what your asking. If your refereeing to the notion that ppl with more lax morals(aka bad person) achieve more superficial success(aka money/career), the case isn't that there are biases at play. One scientific explanation is that it might have to do with ppl with abnormal brain development. Rendering them unable to sympathize or emote on others experiences. This combined with the laundry list of physiological disorders out there means there is a portion of the population out there that may be prone to generally getting over on others.

Jews paid 6000000 gassed to get where they are though.

Humans are communal animals, meaning individuals live by sharing resources and services to improve survival of the individual.

Selfish individuals can exploit this by using other members to acquire more resources while sharing less of their own. There are, of course, mechanisms within the group to minimise this problem but none are foolproof.

The important thing to see here is that the selfish individual wouldn't be able to live better if everyone in the group was also selfish. This is only a winning strategy because he lives in a communal society. From an evolutionary perspective, being selfish is a winning strategy but ONLY if the selfish individuals are a minority of the group. Like an evolutionary prisoners dilemma. There will always be some selfish people in a group but they can never make up the majority.

You're thinking about this backwards. Reality came first, evil was an adaptive response to reality.
And as for why we have a concept of morality that goes against the adaptive trait of evil, that's because society is a giant prisoner's dilemma situation where everyone benefits the most if everyone behaves morally but the dominant strategy on an individual basis is to make decisions that promote yourself at the expense of others. So people mostly present themselves as moral outwardly while behaving immorally whenever they're relatively confident they can get away with it. The difference between a normal person and a psychopath is less that the normal person has a conscience and more that the normal person is a lot more conservative in assessing what he thinks he can get away with. Meanwhile the psychopath is sort of like an inverted case of autism where instead of being overwhelmed by small amounts of stimuli, he feels comparatively little sense of either reward or punishment even in response to large amounts of stimuli, which makes him a lot more impulsive and reckless and willing to do blatantly immoral things that have a high chance of getting found out.

It's not reality that has a bias in favor of evil, it's society. The reason society is biased against good people is because selfish and Immoral people are better at amassing and leveraging power, politically and socially, to the detriment of those who would oppose them?

>bad
>good
spooked

close to a million I think

>>reality and evolution "doesn't care" about good or evil

yes it does.

You guys just don't know how to define "Good" and "Evil" well enough to see HOW it applies.

[citation needed]

Isn't it obvious? Bad people use good people for their needs. So bad person can live comfy while rest of us will die poor and alone.

Excuse my English gentlemans.

Selfishness solved famine, the recurrent bane of communal human organization.
Don't plunge us back into famine!

Capitalist UK caused the irish and indian famines.

If evilness has evolutionary advantage then it will have an edge in passing down the genes. Why do you think parasites exist in the nature?

Evolution and reality really does not care.
