There's no way to prove it right. The basis is faulty.

General Relativity is a stop-gap explanation for something we have yet to understand, like Newtonian physics before it, it is something that works "in most cases", but not all, it is a tool, a hammer if you will, to beat down the nails of understanding until we can invent a screw and screwdriver. Even after the invention of those, the hammer and nails are still a good tool for some applications, but not as many as the screw. You see?

It need not be "gotten rid of", merely expanded upon, just like we did not "get rid of" Newtonian physics.
