Backyard astronomers need to fuck off to a remote valley somewhere. Putting lights in outdoor areas is super useful. It reduces crime; makes people more likely to walk or bike instead of driving; fewer car accidents, etc.

Interestingly, it does not all bounce directly into eyes, some of it just wanders off in odd directions.
