Limitations of Math

If I place you in an infinitely large white space and gave you nothing but a piece of charcoal, a torn piece of paper that is of irregular shape, a random rock, and told you to figure out the surface area of the rock without using anything but the tools you have and mathematics. How would you do it?

Pro tip: Ya cant.

Supposing most people knnow the size of their dick, calculate the approximate surface area of the rock. If the paper is too small to cover the full surface of the rock, color the uncoverec part with charcoal, calculate it with the paper and add to ghe previous result, imo thats as close as you can get to calculating the rock's surface area in this scenario

Easy.

Put the charcoal in your mouth and keep slapping your dick on the rock while staring at the paper until God reveals Himself to you and tells you the surface area of the rock.

why does the space need to be infinitely large and white? how will both my penis and the space exist?

applly charcoal stone surface press paper each measure

sphere size dimensions average

If I chop your arms, legs and tongue off and asked you to move 5 kilometres in an hour. How would you do it?

Pro tip: Ya cant.

I guess locomotion is overrated!

Kek

Captcha: megacable road

I define the surface area of the rock as 1, problem solved.

Figure out the area of your fingerprint and then use your finger and blood to paint the rock. When it's completely covered with blood, just multiply the area of your fingerprint with the number of times you had to press the rock.

>Have to give yourself a papercut.

Take the rock and smash it on the ground over and over until you're left with a layer of rock dust, and then arrange it into a nice square shape to measure. The bone in my fingertip is almost exactly an inch, but you could use your dick or whatever.

this

u just roll like a log, u fucking retard

The surface area of the rock is x

>irrecuperable Blood instead of free charcoal
Well done genius!

wrap paper until it perfectly covers entire rock, then use dick to measure paper.

boom, there's your surface area

What type of light is the room lit by? You can play with the shadows to make accurate estimates of base units and work from there.

surface area of rock = l×w×h
l,w,h = C

therefore C is equal to

C×C×C = C

so if you define surface area of the rock as
1, and set this as a new unit of measurement based on surface area.

then C = 1

and so C×C×C = 1

no, wrong

this stuff makes my dick rock hard
for some reason, there is a temperature range around 290k in which there is a possibility for complicated patterns to emerge. these patterns grow in complexity and resilience until they can on some level, recognize themselves. even begin to create new patterns (computers, transportation networks, energy systems etc). all of these created patterns are made possible by human ability to create rigorous rule systems (math) as well as communicate using natural languages.

math is the best tool for the human pattern/reaction to explore itself and its surroundings. but it is so limited! due to the fact that its derived "meaning" is all completely dependent on the context of the human brain.

also, on the sun, there is probably some other temperature range over which extraordinary complexity emerges, giving the rise to sun life. we dont know about each other yet. most dark matter/dark energy is probably related to decreased entropy caused by stellar/galactic scale life-forms.

determine largest diameter through the rock = L

the rock's volume is between 0 and L^3

Take off pants which are in known unit lengths, the rest is trivial.

>asked for surface area
>measures volume

to ask about the surface area of a physical object is to abstract the object

without defining surface area in terms of physical constraints (ie a surface lying some integer number of plank lengths from the set of outrr

to ask about the surface area of a physical object is to abstract the object

without defining surface area in terms of physical constraints (ie a surface lying some integer number of plank lengths from the set of outermost atoms, etc)

having the tools to measure an abstract concept, defined with respect to measurable parameters, is another issue entirely

Define the rock's surface area as 1 unit squared

[math] \infty [/math]

>Crush charcoal and coat rock with it.
>Cover rock with paper.
>Measure charcoal blotch on paper.

this
surface area of any 3D physical object is infinity

...

That. OP didn't asked for specific measure units.
