False. The “killing pressure” doesnt need to kill off all the “normies” and it really doesnt need to be perfectly balanced either. In fact, natural selection doesnt always involve killing anything. All that is necessary for a species to evolve is that one member of that species needs a mutation that allows it to survive, or reproduce, in larger numbers than the general population. Eventually this mutations tendency to spread more efficiently causes the majority of the gene pool to have that mutation. You seem to not have a solid grasp of genetics, as indicated by the fact that you omitted the part where a mutation positive member of a species and a negative member of the same species can(and in many cases will) produce mutation positive offspring. The mutation negative animal doesnt need to die, and even gets to pass its genes on, but when mixed with mutation positive genes the offspring is usually mutation positive and contributes to the growing percentage of mutation positive offspring. This, combined with the fact that the mutation positive animals have a higher chance of reproducing (even if its only by 0.00001%) will, over hundreds of thousands of years, result in the vast majority becoming mutation positive.
