>tfw cannot into magnitudes

i dun get it OP

=|a|^2
|a|^2+|b|^2 = |c|^2

im pretty sure there is a rule that says this isnt allowed.

that's why they should teach more intuition in school
you're trying to measure d which is indeed 0

[math]

O = \sqrt{i^2+1^2}
[/math]

that's oiclid to you

Researcher in imaginary triangles here, AMA

does OP real

that's not a triangle. its just a line segment.

Are you assuming the set of imaginary numbers to be ordered?

>b-but muh axioms
mathemacucks will defend this

Of course not. OP is a mathematician who is not concerned about application of his new axiom. He will therefore invent a a new class of triangle and subsequent polygons so his supervisor thinks he's doing relevant research.

can't into Pythagoras

This is what happens when you start to fuck around with things like "imaginary" numbers. You reap what you sow, mathfags.

You are correct, lightlike vectors have zero norm.

To form a triangle , the sum of two sides should always be greater than the third side .

I learnt this in grade 3 .

Honestly this post gave me cancer

triangle inequality doesn't hold
this isn't a metric space
move along, nothing to see here

to my understanding, pythagoras' theorem applies to the absolute value of the sides, not the length of the side itself
i.e.
a^2 + b^2 doesn't necessarily equal c^2
but
|a|^2 +|b|^2 does equal |c|^2

You take the norm of the sides you blithering idiot

Then you wonder why you are unemployed

>absolute value of the sides
Mate, it applies to the lenght of the sides(which in complex numbers, is their magnitudes). The absolute values is useless, since a2>0 for every a in R, that fails in C, obviously. If you are playing with complex numbers, you gotta come up with axioms and what not so that OP's case works. He might said that the sum of two sides of a triangle doesn't need to be bigger than the third one, then he would have to define a order relation on said C set such that the can say when a > b, for example. Then he can say that image is true(in his axioms).
As it stands, OP is a fag.

absolute value = magnitude = modulus
doesn't it?

ITT: Fucking retarded brainlets

Use the full pythagorean theorem. Baby pythagorean theorem doesn't work for comlpex values.
