4 holydays so far in this class

How the fuck do you even do this?
I tried to do it the way you normally do the '2ab' becomes - 1/2 so it can turn the 1 into 1/2 but I got stuck regardless.

This is how far I got with the method I tried to describe on the OP.

Wolframalpha got to the same integral. Maybe I'm on the right way.

>normally do when the '2ab' becomes, fix

I'm a human calculator aka Cleo
I'm on it

Nice to see you here, Cleo.
I'm counting on you.
It's not that simple.

substitute z = 2a sinh x
You get

Integral 1/sqrt(1+z^2)*1/sqrt(4a^2 + z^2) dz

>look up formula
>apply it
Yee Wiz what a fucking chore.
>But the integral is haaaard waaaa
Well put ut in sqt or in stack exchange.

Do it then, big guy.

>Do my homework
Fuck off, sage

I wish that was all my homework.
This problem got me stuck because my class had 4 days off so no quality learning. For this specific case, actually no learning at all. I'm no master. There really isn't much I can do. Lots of fags from my uni already sent me messages asking for this answer because they too couldn't find it. The difference is they are already sleeping by now and I'm here still trying when class starts tomorrow morning, 6 hours from now.

I miss Calc I.

What exactly is your problem? The integral? Again ask stack exchange or put it in sqt. Its faster and you are actually using them properly. Making a single thread for your stupid problems is against the rules and this is not the place for it. Fortunately for you, mods are tremendous faggs in here.

Where did you take Calc I that they made you calculate arc length?
How to get to the answer. If the integral I got to is the actual way to do it, yes, my problem is how to integrate it. I don't have an stack exchange account(and don't know if they are fast enough).
Also, I know it's not. I tried /wsr/ but that shit is dead right now, other than that, my thread relates to university which even though isn't science mods seem to tolerate(ie thread about shitting with your professor etc)

It was Calc II actually now that I think about it, either way it was a while ago.

/SQT/ is your friend.

I "moved" there. Hope someone can help me.

I conceived and derived that on my own one day in calc 1, in high school. you sound like a brainlet desu. I pity you

I miss PDEs

I studied it for 2 days and read about it. Not that hard, but complicated. Use stackexchange and wikisearch

>babby's first heat equation

That's the wave equation you moron.
