even as a fan of libertarianism his work is thoroughly unsophisticated and most rightwingers use him as a token black dude

I've always heard that's his appeal, he is plain spoken and it makes his work easier to understand to a lay person.

Shelby Steele is my favorite token black conservative dude

Ape monkey shit, Nigger garbage.

the problems in such horrendously numerous system we've created and their solutions are at such a level of complexity that if you fail to address that level of complexity, even if what you're saying is technically correct, dumbing this stuff down will just turn your readers into ideological tools at best and pop-politics at worst

Who is a better libertarian philosopher then?

An Uncle Tom. A fifth rate economist and a tenth rate philosopher. Champion of common sense thinking, the greatest threat to rationality. Not to be taken seriously.

Rothbard and Hoppe suck because it isn't practical philosophy, reading Saul Alinsky is practical leftist material; socialist organizers have used their tactics successfully to get shit done, Obama and Clinton were Alinsky students

reading philosophy will not help you dodge taxes and establish personal sovereignty or dismantle the state

that said, I don't consider Ayn Rand a philosopher, she is more of a romanticist, and her and Heinlein's romanticism have inspired people to achieve the kind of character they've illustrated in their works

We'll, ignore his economic ideas for second.

What do you think of his theory that modern black American culture is actually heavily influenced by old Southern white redneck culture?

to add to this I would say Konkin is a decent libertarian pragmatist, though not at all very philosophical

dude would love bitcoin

not much because I'm not a sociologist and neither is sowell and if he was right it wouldn't surprise me and those lukewarm tidbits of historical musings are distractions in the face of the giant problems society faces today

I read an article of his regarding IQ distributions. It had an interesting point. Women tend to have -on average- more average and slightly lower IQ than males. With one exception, and that was blacks. Black women were five times more likely to have an IQ score of 140 than black men.

that kind of info is interesting but not really and it definitely ain't literature or philosophy

Ignore the naysayers. He's a fantastic introduction to consistent conservative ideas. He has some good quips too. Basic Economics is the smoothest redpill there is.

I can tell you're not a "fan of libertarianism" and are really just a leftist projecting because leftists are the only ones who ever take offense to the existence of black Republicans. People like you routinely make it an issue by accusing Republicans of doing exactly what Democrats do, which is to prop up black people to be used as a political shields. It's why you can't even comprehend or give credence to the possibility that Thomas Sowell is actually loved by conservatives because he deserves it.

Buckley loved him

Dummys. Sowells writing is absolutely brilliant. Some concept of his are surely not completely up to date, but if you have the opportunity to read him it's completely foolish not to do so.

Best book is Knowledge and Decisions. Some one likened reading it to eating a dense whole wheat bread without anything on it. It's a good analogy for reading that particular book.

Sowell a best

His section on the history of slavery should be required reading in every high school

hes smart but for some reason still a partisan it seems??? does he even go to church?

I've read Basic Economics, Black Rednecks White Liberals, read some of his articles, and have seen him in a few interviews.

I like him. He's clearly very well educated and is able to explain complex ideas in simple and concise terms without losing the value of those ideas in the process. (Some on here would disagree it seems.)

The only critique I have of him is that he is not only very partial to his own philosophies (school of Milton Friedman basically), but completely dismisses any other ideas as laughable. You do have to separate objective fact from what is clearly ideology.

I sincerely love this man

Let's just keep out politics out of it. Is he a good writer that makes good arguments for his thesis?

token Conservative nigra championed by lolberterians.

Any black people should know if they want to make money they should pretend to be republicans, the demand on the right for black shills is way higher because of scarcity
