A kugelblitz

A star.

2 grenades taped to each other.

A pipebomb.

This, but the pipe is an Einstein–Rosen bridge.

dropping your mom from a plane

Neutron implosion.

Wouldn't be very powerful if it's just theoretical idiot.

supernova

A large energy flux.

*blocks your path*

kek'd

A fusion bomb (unlike a fission bomb) can be made arbitrarily as powerful as you want. If you can engineer the containment, you can make it any size. Note that there is no military use for bombs that powerful, so they aren't being produced.

Strictly, fission-fusion-fission bombs. Fusion bomb wrapped in U238, which fissions when hit with fast neutrons.
As you say, no point.

The merger of two black holes released 50 times the output of all other stars in the universe -- for a tenth of a second. Hard to imagine a more violent occurrence since the Big Bang.

An F-bomb

no need for bomb; antimatter would explode on contact with matter
so i'd say an anti-metal

ur moms fart lmao

You might need to disperse the dark matter to get a more efficient explosion. Sort of like a fuel air bomb. You also need it safely contained.

the enraged autistic screeching sound a Veeky Forumsentist makes when they see a pop sci figure say "planck length" or "spacetime".

The most powerful theoretical bomb.

Well, as we all know E = MC^2. And there is only so much mass in the observable universe.

The mass of the observable universe is estimated to be approximately 10^52 kilograms.

So 10^52 x 299792458^2 = 8.9875518 x 10^68 joules of energy. ez pz.

Yeah. But a bomb which doesn't go up in a single bang is considered a "fizzle". Dynamite explodes. A pool of gasoline just burns and does less damage even if the total energy release is greater.

Your "ultimate bomb" would take 20 or 30 billion years to react completely. :)

Well then just a "vacuum decay bomb" that somehow triggers the collapse of the false vacuum thereby converting all the mass in the universe into energy, in a sphere expanding at the speed of light

you can't really one up that

Ice 9 bomb, contained within a einstein rosen bridge generator, set to cycle through all possible dimensions.
