I searched around myself and could find no studies that show association between testosterone levels and fat preference, so we can rule that out as soyboys projecting their low testosterone levels onto other. On the contrary, the vast majority of men seem to prefer thinner women (and the result seems to be pretty robust; it shows up repeatedly in different studies on attractiveness).
