Have you ever thought

"I'm this person, I'm trapped inside this body?"

What causes that feeling

Yep, and I've always had this thought cross my mind every once in a while ever since I was a kid, and I never thought anyone else would be able to relate or understand. Then I realized that with the sheer amount of people on the planet, someone else was bound to have shared the idea.

I've never thought of it as being trapped in my body, though, but rather just purely curious about it as to the "why" and "how" and finding it weird that, "hey, I am me in my body. Why is that so, why is it that I'm experiencing life through THIS body and seeing it through THIS set of eyes? How do other people live and fundamentally experience life?"

Another curiosity I've more recently had is wondering why our consciousness and thoughts are stored purely in our heads. As in, I don't "feel" my consciousness in, say, my foot, and I can't transfer my consciousness to someone else no matter how hard I try.

bad metaphysics

Me. I do.

>What causes that feeling
it's caused by the fact that you are this person and you are trapped inside this body.
this is your life, these are your days.

also, I had rather harsh depersonalization attacks as a child, but now I'm unable to trigger them. probably got too used to this body. it's a case of live in it, die with it, I guess.

Most of your senses are on your head so it's a natural point of reference
