They are in on the conspiracy. Just like all airline pilots, all astronomers, all those "tourists" who travel to Antarctica, every nation with a space program or satellites, anyone involved in aerospace in general, and so on.

How does the flat earth model handle the change in angle based on the sin of a cross-section of a globular earth?
If we imagine a flat earth, then somehow the changing angle is related to a linear distance from the equator, but the angle reverses on the other side of the equator. this is a very big problem.
