Why is he so often ignored and underrated in the canon of literary modernism? He's much much better than Pound and Eliot.
William Carlos Williams

he is? why do you say that? I find a lot of love for him, especially among the New York School.

Pound and Eliot still get more attention, especially in academia.
>Williams
>postmodernism
I TAKE IT YOU NOTICED HE WAS THE POEM OF THE DAY?!
Normally Williams and Eliot are the two I've seen taught, and Pound gets sidelined.
Is he? Source?
As an avid reader and true fan, I'd say he's slightly underrated rated. I do think a lot of his poems, or series of poems, the more complex ones, happen to be criminally underrated. What puzzles me about WCW is how he feels about his place in the world.
His poem(s) "Pastoral" give me a stiffy like no other. His emphasis on childhood ephemerality and color sends me a poetic flavor town.
>he was a talentless hack before being a talentless hack became the norm

All senior citizens should have life alert.
And all of us should subscribe/check the poem of the day.
>William Carlos Williams
>talentless
Idiot.
hm. I guess. Yates seems to be the critical darling on older academics here. which I think it a farce.
he looks like a slightly more birdlike tom hardy
>muh red wheelbarrow
>muh white chickens
>muh symbolism
>muh ice(((berg))) technique
>muh 2deep4u
Not an argument
>muh muh
>Yates
>Yeats* a farce
Get the fuck out
Yea, but the poem isn't much more than a stream of consciousness poem. He's stated the poem is meaningless. Fucking tards will put meaning into anything so they can feel smart.
> His most famous poem is >I was just pretending to be retarded: the poem
WCW is a hack confirmed
I agree. Wcw is a hack, but William Carlos Williams is amazing
>meaning
People like you are so retarded. Poetry is an art, not an arcane method of encoding "meaning". As long as a poem is beautiful, it is good.
Looks like we got a modernist on patrol.
Okay, so what poets do you like?
And most importantly, have you read any of WCW's work? Or have just read shit like "Spring and All" or "The Red Wheelbarrow"?
lol
Ugh
>So, how do you want your hair done?
>Just fuck my shit up.
