IMO it's when you see a close pattern/similarity between something that just happened and a far away almost forgotten memory. That's what I always think when I get it.
Maybe you know some books where it was written?

Ive never read books on the subject because frankly its not that interesting to me. I have read a few studies though. Just google “deja vu epilepsy” if you want more information.
