Why are we not more terrified of the fact climate change is going to kill hundreds of millions in the next 40 years?
Even if we drop our carbon emissions entirely today, our temperature will still rise 3 degrees, ruining agriculture and making huge swathes of land uninhabitable. There’ll be forced mass movement of billions, of those who can survive. And the northern hemisphere won’t be able to cope in losing its southern crops.

Global warming is real, and humans are causing it, but the costs of global warming are not worth the much larger costs of preventing it. Global warming does not affect all countries equally, with poor countries being affected far more negatively than rich countries, and some rich countries being affected positively (more land available for agriculture, new trade routes in the Arctic, etc). Poor countries are the countries least able the afford the cost of not using fossil fuel energy, and they should not be pressured by already developed countries into delaying their industrialization for the sake of countries that have already industrialized.

Climate change is real, climate change is a natural process that occurs frequently in geological terms but man made global warming is a media love child that blames you and me for said natural process.
To be honest it is natural that climate changes over time, but emissions and all other shenanigans make it more extreme.

Or even need. Synthetic fertilizers are made from oil or gas products and are essential for survival in much of Asia and Africa. And you need fuel to transport it to the farmers and to transport produce to the customer.
Stop export of fertilizers and you will kill more people than Hitler, Lenin, Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot put together.
