I would have said Stephen Hawking but that's because he's overrated rather then a meme, he has high contributions to physics but he isn't this second-coming of Einstein nor has he done anything outside of his work on black holes.

Richard Feynman was a genius who made important contributions.
Carl Sagan ended up largely being a public educator and he was good at it. He inspired a generation of scientists and astronomers to look at the world in a different way. The only reason you dislike him is because you're insecure and you want someone to look down on, so you choose him because he talked to the common people and loved humanity instead of being a stuck up bore.

He was a good speaker. He also actually did science. His work in astronomy wasn't exactly grand or ground breaking (iirc His biggest achievement science-wise was calculating cloud temperatures on Venus via radio astronomy), but that's true of most scientists.
