you cant

no there has to be a way, there has to be a way. I cant live like this

Use Bishop Sheen's method.

Practice one smart activity all the time and never talk about anything else.

Wow he even debunks pop-sci bullshit. See 14:01 ff.

Stop doing drugs.

>I cant live like this
What do you mean?

Get drunk and then read your notes sober. It is surprisingly worth a try.

Kill all the smart people. Intelligence is relative.

become redpilled

Or just move somewhere only stupider people live.

Eat fish

Stop wasting time on useless activities m(anime, porn, gaming). Dedicate yourself to some study (CS,math, physics) do as much reading as you can on it

Start by capitalizing your I's.

Most people live perfectly being a bunch of idiots, you will do fine.

by getting off this board and browsing instead

start doing the right drugs

flip a coin

Fuck off we're full

You should be more open to diversity, don't be such a bigot!

Beeing smart is overrated.
- I prefere nice, average intelligent and good-natured persons over super-intelligent, arrogant assholes.
- Scientific discoveries / progress often have more to do with luck then with intelligence.
- Computing power is more and more replacing brainpower.
- Wisdom beats knowledge. And I doubt it that wisdom correlates with intelligence.
- etc.

If you don’t believe that wisdom correlates with intelligence you’re a fucking idiot

For starters, stay away from idiots.

Honestly that's how I got better at math. I do a shitload of the next semesters problems while slightly drunk over breaks from uni. I do every problem until I understand where I went wrong on those I missed. When I'm sober, I become godlike.

Think of it like working out, you don't just lift the same weight, you add more over time. Then when you lift up the weight you started at you're like, "Damn, this is easy"

kotchan.org/chat/int#General

unironically just study formal logic and math, it's guaranteed to increase your score on IQ tests.

Help

it doesn't, but that's weird tho

>I prefere nice, average intelligent and good-natured persons over super-intelligent, arrogant assholes
conservativeness and arrogance are traits that correlate with lower intelligence
>Scientific discoveries / progress often have more to do with luck then with intelligence
false, only intelligent people have the necessary brainpower and curiosity to investigate weird phenomena, average joe just ignores it
>Computing power is more and more replacing brainpower
smartest AI in the world is still dumber than an ant and there is no reason to think AI will at any point become intelligent as in live organisms, so far it's only been able to perform simple monotonous tasks and it only exceels where intelligence is BTFO by computation and bruteforcing
>Wisdom beats knowledge. And I doubt it that wisdom correlates with intelligence
ask me how I know your IQ is 2 digit

Sociology BTFO

>being smart is overrated
I don’t think you’re qualified to make that claim if you’re making that claim

Develop a list of worthwhile areas of study and tackle them one subject at a time, one fact at a time. After approximately 20 years, you will have a formidable knowledge base. Normies think that this makes you "smart."

read books

learn a new language.

+10 iq granted

smoke weed + drink semen

Simply put reading books is still the most efficient way to gain knowledge. If you havent read 10,000 hours by age 30 Id argue you have failed as an intellectual.

Jesus, will you insecure brainlets stop making threads like these already? No, you cannot become smarter. Intelligence is entirely genetic, can't be improved, and declines more with age the dumber you are. All neuroprotective activities and practices are just that, protective, not amplifying.

You can either research what you want to do, look up the average IQ of a person who succeeded in that field, adjust according to your own IQ, or live in denial until you're forced to acknowledge your inferiority.

When I had studied Physics, I only needed to listen in class and practice a few hours once a week or to maintain my 4.0 GPA. Never did I experience great frustration, confusion or lack of understanding. I have 142 IQ.
Some my classmates quite literally studied all the time, yet nevertheless could at best manage a mediocre GPA, with a nontrivial ration flunking out. Their IQ, as far as I had gathered, ranged from 120 at best to 100 (!) at the absolute worst, with GPA correlating linearly.

How did you measure their IQ?

If guy1 studies 5 hours a week and gets a 2.5gpa is he smarter than the guy2 that studies 10 hours a week and gets a 3.0gpa?

I didn't. We talked about it and they told me theirs. Some were professionally tested and others gave a rough estimate based on online tests and general function.

Not how it works. Physics isn't about memorization, at least not in good unis. The problems presented at our tests bore no resemblance to given assignments other than the belonging to the taught subject, and more significantly they required using our knowledge in novel ways, rather than just vomiting formulas.

Regardless, intelligence clearly poses a ceiling along with its multiplier. Much like how a dog would never be able to learn calculus, I doubt even given all the time in the world that guys with 100 IQ could succeed in physics, though they might be able to scrape 4.0 in undergrad. But that's in fantasy, in reality they simply stand no chance.

by not browsing this board

You have no subtlety, you're inferior trash failing to masquerade as an intellectual. Academia requires no intelligence to succeed at, regardless of your whether you invent a delusional fantasy about your school requiring you to "use knowledge in novel ways." If you were actually smart, you'd be better at your sociopathic attempts to manipulate people emotionally. That would be a true reflection of intelligence, in direct contrast to applying boring formulas to boring problems and then patting yourself on the back because everyone else fell asleep. You're nothing.

Disregarding its connection to intelligence, IQ is literally a tool to predict, successfully according to data, academic performance.

The average IQ of a physics major is around 130, and as far as I had seen, the grades in our classes correlated heavily. No matter how many ad hominems you throw at me, how much you try to mask your lies with sophistry, you are simply barking against facts.

That was nice.

not him but learn how to fucking use commas mr. 142 IQ

IQ merely defines interests. No big deal.

A human brain is simply a neural network. And if you look at point A of the brain and point B of the brain at a cellular level you will notice they are identical.

So dont pat yourself on the back that you have an IQ of 150 or 150 million. You are still a stupid neural network in the grand scheme of things.

Any brain above a certain threshold can do any problem given to it. Just because you got lucky and had other neural networks giving your own neural networks a damage free environment with maximum stimulation doesnt make you a god damn genius. If you were a genius you would be solving problems like the millenial puzzles given in math for fun on a Friday night.

N=NP? Easy.

Building a quantum computer? Easy.

Talking to girls? Easy.

Resolution of singularities in characteristic p? Easy.

Try to be a little more useful than a rock while you live out your last 2,500,000,000 heartbeats. Or at least enjoy yourself while the adults actually solve useful problems.

>Intelligence is entirely genetic
actually read some literature on it
it's 85 - 90%

Why does this board have so many pseuds? Holy fuck.

These, more or less. Stop wasting time being a little bitch and crying about how stupid you are and get to studying.

I got a 3.8 in UCLA physics with a 92 IQ.
Next.

pic of degree for cred
blur out name

There's plenty of smart people that make stupid mistakes in life, don't know how to talk to other people, can't properly manage their emotions, etc. Wisdom barely has anything to do with intelligence.

>conservativeness and arrogance are traits that correlate with lower intelligence
See your last sentence? What does it tell about you? Did you even think about what you were writing?
>false, only intelligent people have the necessary brainpower and curiosity to investigate weird phenomena, average joe just ignores it
Ok, good point. But even if the respective scientists were intelligent, there were lots of discoveries where they didn't use their brainpower.
>so far it's only been able to perform simple monotonous tasks and it only exceels where intelligence is BTFO by computation and bruteforcing
Obviously you have no idea what you are talking about. You're right in the sense that we don't know how it will develop in the future, but there is also no reason to think it wont make huge progress.
>ask me how I know your IQ is 2 digit
Perfectly confirms my post.

Haha, touche!

>alcoholics trying to justify their habit
if you did it sober you'd probably get good sooner

>there is no reason to think AI will at any point become intelligent as in live organisms
Literally all you have to do to achieve that is copy the architecture and put it on silicon, dumbass. Semiconductor chips beat slowpoke electrochemical neurons every time.

It's just expensive and we're still in early days.

Intelligence is not entirely genetic, no study on Earth says that.

Most studies place heredity of IQ between 40-75% with that number being lower as a child and higher as an adult

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heritability_of_IQ

Just read this. The tldr is you CAN improve your IQ with environment (nb: studying a lot) and this is essentially true throughout life, but if you're young, get on it, since your mind is far less malleable as you age.

To the OP: don't worry about IQ. Just make yourself study something

Nobody has shown that intelligence can be increased much by studying, either. Unless you're some trailer trash or ghettonigger, anyway. It's more along the lines of "getting hit in the head is bad".

Environmental factors account for a lot of the variation in subjects exposed to harsh environments in their developmental years, but drop off rapidly when you reach more tolerable standards of living. What this is suggests that you have some genotypical potential that mostly gets negatively affected by your environment. Heritability of IQ also increases with age, which suggests that it's an asymptotical kind of deal.

I wonder how well you'd have to raise your children so they could be as smart as Newton.
