When working on drilling rigs, TI was most common with men under 40. The old guys generally preferred Reverse Polish Norwegian. Probably because they grew up before there was a "solve" function.

I got myself an HP 50g recently. The calculator looks not much better than an ugly ti but it can solve expressions symbolically.
