Are introverts basically failed extroverts aka losers? Should they be castrated?

Are extroverts basically failed introverts aka losers? Should they be castrated?
yes
Introversion stems from self awareness. Not a whole lot of intelligent extroverts out there.
Depends on what you actually consider extrovert qualities/traits
Is OP basically failed /pol/ poster, aka loser? Should he be castrated?
Mainly one's reliance on social interactions for contentment, and social acceptance for self validation. Basically, relying on external factors from other people, instead of finding happiness in abstract thoughts.
Are big brains basically failed brainlets aka losers? Should they be castrated?
I think introversion is a learned behavior. The more intelligent one is, the less likely they are to value human interactions. They'll hide away in their own head.
So every human is extroverted? Or is there some cult of intelligent, isolated people (who obviously don't interact with each other) only you know about?
Despite that, on average, it's better to be an extrovert, there are some huge perks of being an introvert that could go a long way for extroverts. You just have to know how to use them.
>who is feynman
>>who is feynman
only 125 iq
Introverts and extroverts aren't real. If you're surrounded by people close to your own IQ level, you'll be extroverted. People with 97 IQ are the most extroverted, but if you had a big group of 130s, they'd probably hit it off and have a grand time. Having similar interest or closer family or racial ties helps bridge the IQ gaps.
You missed the point. Interactions are obligatory, but what you gain from them is subjective. What I'm saying is that highly intelligent people don't tend to rely on others' input, unless it provides data they're interested in. 10 IQ points (Stanford/Binet scale) difference between two individuals, and one thinks of the other as slow.
Not even falling for that bait.
Yes. Agreed. Unfortunately, the majority of the global population is in the 80-90 range. The odds are against the 120-130 range people, and even they seem a little retarded to the 140+ group. It's a lonely world for most.
Youre confusing extraversion and the eay someone socially interacts at face value (e.g. talkativeness). Not same.
100% this. ive become more extroverted than ever before in grad school because the conversation is actually insanely interesting and doesnt drain me at all
Give me an objective reason why it's dumb to rely on others' input.
It's more efficient to learn from others' mistakes and avoinding getting common and simple problems than relying on your own, limited experience.
Obviously the absolute best is mixing self-reflection and external input, but here I'm showing the pros of looking outside as opposed to only inside.
A 10 IQ point difference it's not even close to making people look retarded. You would be thinking about a 25-30 point difference.
You're right. Both are equally valid methods to tackle any problem. That's where the data they're interested in comes into play. However, the source of the input is crucial. If you perceive someone as intellectually inferior, you're unlikely to value their input.
is not even close*
I'll give you that. I should've put 150+ as the master race, looking down on everyone and maybe even each other. All it takes is one almost imperceptible personality flaw to make those peeps despise others.
That would be a pretty stupid use of introversion. If you rely on your perception of someone's intellect you can mistake a more spatially-oriented brilliant person for stupid just because they can't formulate complex sentences and use big words. You can only minimize that kind of mistake by not taking people at face value, which requires some extraversion.
>castrate most scientists
I think we'd become a brainless nation before too long.
The Dunning/Kruger effect plays a role in that scenario. The more intelligent individual will doubt themselves, and seek opinions from others. However, the more intelligent person will instantaneously see any fallacies present in the other person's input. You wouldn't ask an illiterate person's opinion about Shakespeare. Most people can't present data efficiently and without bias. Therefore, the introverts seek it elsewhere.
We're already there. I'm reminded of Idiocracy every day.
I'm the opposite. I was much more social in HS and my friends almost all got lower university entrance scores than me, but now that I'm studying physics I barely talk to anyone and have almost no friends. Not that I mind of course.
go to grad school. that will change. Undergrad i didnt talk to anyone in school, had no college friends, i just retained my highschool ones.
>grad school
What the fuck is that for someone not in the US?
U.S. grad school is similar to an average European elementary school.
Just more expensive.
masters program or PhD.
you're assuming i go to school in the US.
At least we have one as our president in the Donald.
>all these virgins implying that extroversion is a trade off for intelligence because they're complete spergs
The fucking lack of self awareness in here, is this a science subreddit now?
Who do you think takes the best research positions in the hard sciences? Extroverts.
Who do you think manages all of the engineers and code-monkeys in paper mills and power plants? Extroverted bosses.
Who do you think expresses and presents their ideas in the most effective and efficient ways, moving their subject of choice and the human species as a whole forward with their drive? You guessed it extroverted researchers.
Hell, do you think those people that manage the moon landings and mars missions were autists that just couldn't express their phenomenal mountain of knowledge? Extroverts are the cream of the crop in any STEM field and you niggers know it.
Why should they be castrated? They've effectively eliminated themselves from the gene pool.
