You've never spoken to a woman user. admit it.

I'll admit, most women don't even consider reading a hobby, but for the one's I've known that do, my OP stands.

This is why I don't want to make literature an important aspect of my life. Most people I try to start conversations regarding it with will be absolutely disgusting plebians.

Most women don't even have hobbies.

Does it really matter though? Reading is a solitary pastime. What would you do together if she was Veeky Forums?

>Chikie says "I love to play videogames too, user!"
>Proceeds to list off Zelda, The Sims, Mobile games, etc.

>Chikie says "I love to play tabletop too, user!"
>Proceeds to play 5E disregarding half the rules

>Chikie says "I love comics/cartoons too, user!"
>Proceeds to list off Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, etc.

It's almost as if (on average) women are different than men! Expect mediocrity, as you also should do with males you don't know, and then let any semblance of sincere interest in a hobby be the cherry on top.

>Proceed to talk with the cute chick from the library
>"dafuq r u talkin' bout, you beta? Leave me 'lone or I call Douche-kun!"

What did you expected, OP? A deep debate about Schopenhauer's beliefs?

Pleb taste and mediocrity is not inherently exclusive to females user, in case that's what you or some other people in this thread are trying to imply. I've met other guys with basic and uninteresting interests such as the one you're mentioning.
When I had just met my gf she always said she loved to read, until I found out she only read vampire novels (not twilight though). At least she has read Oscar Wilde at some point and is interested in reading Lovecraft so I guess she's getting slowly more into reading.

Every single person I've ever asked for advice on meeting girls tells me this:

"You like books, don't you user? Try to meet girls at a library or bookstore!"

But isn't that the most stupid idea you've ever heard? What's the last thing you want when reading at a library or browsing a bookstore? For someone to interrupt you.

How the fuck do people think it's possible to pick up chicks at a library?

...

...

I find that impossible to believe, they don't just sit around and do nothing during their free time.

Pick up a chick on Goodreads.com you fucking sperg

>they don't just sit around and do nothing during their free time.
But thats exactly what they do. They use their smartphones and message people with social media while they sit or lie down somewhere.

who gives a fuck

reading is not a social hobby

says the faggot on a social board about reading.

Oh, they do. My ex just sat in my room and posted on facebook all day while pretending to read.

>Hey babe, wanna watch a movie or go for a walk?
>"Nah, I'm reading right now.
>She's actually just browsing facebook on her kindle
Every time.

Social Media is their hobby then

It's an activity, just as much reading or running are activities.

No

hey

does anyone else think that girls are more dumb than guys?

i interacted with a girl once and i found this to be the case, reply if u agree

agre

>more dumb than
nice bait

I agree

Just go up and ask questions.

WHOA, i feel like i have truly been redpilled.

I talked my girlfriend into reading interesting, good books I knew she would enjoy so I could then discuss them with her. This is what you have to do with women. Women are empty inside and it is a man's job to fill them up.

>Chickie
Dreadful idiom

Spread some vegemite on your opinion and shove it up your arse, chickie

>Girl walks up to me while I'm reading Brothers Karamazov
>"I like your style, user. You're always reading or playing your guitar."
>Th-thanks its f-fun
>"I like to read too, y'know."
>O-oh, really? Whats your favorite book?
>"Harry Potter."

Every time

>qt friend of a friend loves to read
>we start talking about books
>she proceeds to whine about the same issue OP adresses
>we'll go out this week
Sucks to be you, OP

>grill says "I love to read too, user!"
>I ask her if she has a favourite author
>Proceeds to namedrop SImone de Beauvoir

>I love literature user, not YA trash
>Jane Austen and Bronte shit

My boyfriend had never read regally before we met. I've had a splendid time introducing him to serious literature, building good taste from the ground up and outset.

regularly*

>I'm a lazy uncultured nigger because everyone else is le plebeian xD

>Austen and Brontë are bad
Are summer vacations on already?

>he's assblasted someone actually reads instead of shitposting

It's winter
Spotted the American roastie

Women read faaaaaaar more than men.

probably the gayest shit I've read ever

> everybody isn't as much of a man child as me

boo hoo user. maybe if you were still under 25 people would share your childish hobbies

I feel this is definitely true, but what do women actually read? A man who reads is likely far more erudite than a woman who reads

A man that reads is probably more likely to read decent stuff but that's just because there are a vast amount more women that read at all so the actual numbers of people reading decent material are probably the same in both genders.

It's like women who play sports. Fat fuck men play 5 a side soccer with their mates but mostly it's women in good shape who play sports even casually.

Do you live in America? not a great comparison for Australia because men who play sport are very fit compared to the norm and even the unfit ones would destroy women in a match

ignoring females in rutting. having rivers of reward without earning reward.
bug eyed, drooling, moaning, trembling, incontinent, dehydrated. not working, not consuming, not interacting, or taking part, in community life.
giving away your soul and lives for p-terminal stimulation

nice

No, I live in Europe. I'm not saying men wouldn't destroy women in most sports I'm just saying you rarely see out of shape women involved in casually playing sports (except fun runs which are a social thing).

Anyway even if it is a shit comparison I think my other point still stands.

WHO the fuck browses Facebook on a goddamn Kindle, that's just masochism

Love is pretty gay, my dude.

>>

nah, I'm a woman and I did that with my boyfriend. your anecdotal experience isn't representative of what all women/men are like

>good interesting books
>probably entry level Veeky Forums shit

>I'm not like other girls

>your anecdotal experience isn't representative of what all women/men are like
Generalizations are generally true. Fuck off with your stupid vagina-logic. Your post is implicitly all about you and how you're so different, so special, which demonstrates yes, you are like all women - vain, superficial, self-absorbed.
