What's Mao like? Is it chinaboo?

I read the Foundation trilogy. Should I read the other Foundation books? Or are they not as good?

>he reads books

Its ok

>NRV Bible.

>not owning a DRV Bible
>being a filthy prottie KJV only pleb

they're ok but they were more tropey and "action thriller" or "mystery thriller" based. has interesting stuff that ties them into the robot series if you care. theyre quick reads anyway so up to you.
its the opposite. jung chang is a notorious anti-communist/PRC writer. the book was highly controversial when it came out and heavily criticized for poor historiography and inaccuate/biased presentation.

Bits and Pieces

All out of order

used book stores sure are great.

Not Pictured, the raymond chandler book i read on the toilet

Maybe you'd like to set the resolution to half of that, because some of the titles are still discernible.

tfw too dumb to read any of this

so it goes. im sure someone will recognize a few.

>the Jung Chang biography of Mao
Are you fucking kidding me, OP? The genre and children's books are fine, but now you've gone too far. You might as well have Gavin Menzies on there.

>all those rightwing texts at the bottom
Canada, pls.

see above. i dont have a high opinion of it.

Pls no bully

>half of the items aren't even books
>one book looks like you've thrown it at a wall several times
>using 6 pictures (named 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6) even though you can't read the titles anyway

Please take back these posts

The different colored shelves and the higher shelf on the far right bookshelf are very triggering

Graphic novels and anthologies

Some more anthologies and then novels begin

Its dumbfounding, really. The whole irony of the situation, that is. I mean, these people are here devoting time to this endeavor of taking pictures of their bookshelves with carefully assorted books; who knows, maybe they want you to know who the author they like best is, or maybe they have OCD, or whatever, but they arrange the books so neatly. Then they take a picture and upload it, but they do ABSOLUTELY no discussion of literature. Its like these people are pretending to care about books to show off their bookshelves while their taste is saying "I don't really read books". So why do they take pictures of the shit? Its irony at its hyperbole.

Nonfiction media and misc

>tfw someone made a copypasta out of your post criticizing these threads a while ago

I'm... honored.

Nonfiction history & politics

...

The one between moby dick and war and peace is crime and punishment.

Not my thread

This is my more political/philosophical book section.

This is mostly older fiction and what I call depression-core: things focusing on the depressing nature of life... Steppenwolf, No Longer Human, etc.

Here is random fiction. On the left is all Japanese stuff and some plebtier Star Wars shit I haven't got around to losing yet.

This is my Lovecraft section. He is my favourite writer.

>This is my Lovecraft section. He is my favourite writer.

>Trump
>Harris
>Hitchens
>Dawkins
Don't forget to tip

Rise and Fall of the Third Reich by William Shirer

Are you that user who bought an old african war book and posted it in one of these threads?

There's seriously nothing wrong with that edition of Moby Dick other than the cover being ridiculously bad looking.

Which is better, Black Wings or Book of Cthulhu?

how did you manage to get this out of focus from a few feet away? fascinating

B O O K S

I have trouble seeing all the books you have, but how is that Cold War book? Is it worth a read? Also, are there any other books on the Cold War that you would recommend?

How's that Malcolm X book?

What's Nigger about?

>Putting shit in front of your books
Why do people do this?

I do it with a few small knick knacks that I use frequently (pepper shaker, shot glass, pipe, tarot cards, coin jar) or precious things I want to see/smell and not lose in a box somewhere (special soap, army awards, family pic).

i know you posted this as b8 but those sabriel books are actually good
the american editions are the worst looking editions tho

it's not bait desu

That doesn't answer my question.

Shelves are shelves. Simple enough for you?

Ok, just organized.

Read a lot on a tablet the past few years, though.

Is that Newcastle by any chance? Those buildings look very familiar to me

I picked up the first book of The Wheel of Time recently. I hope it's good!

I liked Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn and The Stormlight Archive books. I wouldn't call them fantastic pieces of literature, but they're just plain fun!

Looks like Paris to me...
