Why is American pizza floppy?

this, ive noticed its just part of the style to make very gooey, soft pizza. the best pizza is thiner, and the cheese should become firm and have crispy spots. Why americans make their pizzas with thick and puffy dough and with types of cheese that stay very soft??

It's unbelievable how bad it tastes now.

The worst are the thick pizzas with huge rings of crust. It's not a 14 inch pizza if 4 inches of it is dough with no sauce, cheese or toppings, you're selling a 10 inch pizza at the cost of a 14 inch. And no, putting flavor salt on it doesn't make up for it.

Apparently, Dominos pizza is the best pizza in Ireland. I desperately hope that that's a "KFC in Japan" thing, but I have a sinking feeling it isn't.

I really like Dominos. I think theyve really improved their pizza over the last 3-4 years. Whenever they did an overhaul of their recipe. I eat it like 1-2x a month
