The name of the dialogue derives from the Greek "apologia," which translates as a defense, or a speech made in defense. Thus, in The Apology, Socrates attempts to defend himself and his conduct--certainly not to apologize for it.

Well yeah. This meme/joke is better understood as "poster has a distorted interpretation of a suitable yet conceivably ambiguous title of a work, creating a conflict with literal expectations left unfulfilled in the text itself" and not necessarily "poster shows example of a title that doesn't accurately describe what takes place in the work." Yes, an Apology takes place; yes, a Shrew is tamed; yes, 'Brothers' isn't meant to be possessive. The dubious comprehension is the point, user.
