Start working at a pizza place

>start working at a pizza place
>Hand tossed pizzas
>Work out that each pizza costs between 0.80-1.00$ to make
>mfw cucks actually spend 15$ EACH on this stuff

>family owns pizza place for 5 generations
>take pity on some worthless autist by hiring it
>find out he's talking shit about my pizzas online
>he "accidentally" falls in the oven

No way costs are so low. Even a place like Little Caesars have thin profit margins selling their garbage at $5 each and have to make up for it by selling a lot.

He was referring to imaginary pizzas for his pretend job

He's right. Sort of. The ingredients are very, very cheap, but he's forgetting the cost of labour, insurance, utilities, etc involved in producing pizza.
One large pizza made with retail-priced ingredients uses roughly (going with Ameribucks here) 26c worth of flour, 44c worth of sauce and $1 worth of mozzarella. That's $1.70. Calculating costs of labour, insurance etc per pizza depends entirely on how many pizzas they're able to sell in a given day. By my wholly unscientific estimation, these costs combined would set the average place back about $2.44 per pizza. So each pizza might cost about $4.14 per to make. IIRC from working in a bakery, the basic idea for pricing prepared food is to charge 2.67x higher than cost, so about $11 per pizza would be a good price. Remember, that with higher volume, it will cost less per pizza and lower volume, more.

>autistic people try to talk economics
oh god, its like full retard
ingredients can cost 5 cents
you still got to hire motherfuckers to deliver it, make it, cook it
you still have to pay for refrigeration, and gas bills, electricity bills

even just the bare minimum of owning the store puts you on the hole on a daily basis and thats why food places go out of business so often, its not so simple and easy as "hurrr 1 dollar to make" you have to have people buying it, or you're losing money

The post covers and discusses every single point your tried to make before you even made it. Read the whole thing next time rather than just the first sentence.

this

OP I hope you’re not a leftist
When you pay for a product, you have to factor in upkeep of the business. No shop could keep its doors open if they didn’t have money to sustain it.

no, what OP is , is some sad kid who hasnt been taught basic critical thinking skills
no, because youre retarded talking about insurance and implying it costs them only 2.44 to make a pizza, you're the autistic faggot with the autistic math

it doesn't "just" cost them 2.44. its a business, it costs them a lot more to make a single pizza, you want to talk about , making it at home, sure, but as a business, their costs are in the thousands to make that first pizza

thats like saying, it only costs them 5 cents per mozzarella topping. but nigger, they need to buy those 10 lb blocks of mozzarella to get that deal at 5 cents per. otherwise, you'd paying retail price and thats more like 3 dollars for a small thing of mozzarella

>used to work at "luxury cinema" cleaning theaters after every showing/washing dishes, etc.
>recipes of foods posted all over kitchen with cost to make including labor
>burger cost around $2 to make
>charge customers $14
>half the food was frozen

who hurt you?

>He's right but he's wrong but ignore the part where he's wrong so he's right, right?

Again, that was all covered in the post.

Free market capitalism.

You're clearly arguing with a retard. Just leave him to wallow in his spaghetti pit.

You're gonna have to include the cost of staff and facility costs etc. into that, bro.

based pizza tycoon

"Luxury cinemas" are a huge scam. Everything is overpriced and then they make you watch commercials before the previews. I wonder how much money they make on a good day.

>Start your own pizza business
>sell them for 2$
>become the neet`s best friend

>>Work out that each pizza costs between 0.80-1.00$ to make
Plus transportation costs, labor costs, insurance costs, utilities, equipment purchases and maintenance, licensing fee's, inspection fee's, business taxes, lease costs, facility maintenance costs and advertising expenses, if any. Shit adds up.

The kind of ignorance surrounding what it actually takes to run a business, let alone a SUCCESSFUL business, is exactly why high school and college kids can be so easily duped into the leftist "gibmedats" commie shit mentality.

Yes it is cheap but well people buys shit stuffs so it is normal
