There's a wealth of resources on this. There's a Veeky Forums guide with information about the brain, and there's literally a psychonauts wiki.
I'm not saying that you can't have that discussion here on Veeky Forums, but you haven't even posed a discussion point. Nobody's going to go dig up information to such a broad opening post.
Go look at those wikis and get a feel for what interests you, and then simply pose a specific question that you want to explore more deeply and that people can actually have a discussion about.
