suicide thouself

It's going to take you at least a year

Why would any one do this to himself? Are you studying (or planning to study) philosophy?

read only the most important

Read everything.

Was I not supposed to "start with the Greeks™"?

Yeah but you don't need to read literally everything attributed to Plato.

That's your starting point?

I'll just help you out here by saying that you shouldn't get reading advice from a bunch of STEMtard anime-watching teenagers online

If you read for two hours a day it will be over in less than two months, what's the problem?

You're probably reading too fast tbqh.

>Why would any one do this to himself?

Some user actually care about learning properly so they are gonna make it.

Some user only care about the appearance of learning so they are not gonna make it.

No, it was the Sumerians.

this was directly from the philosophy project guide though.
I'm planning on watching lectures from professors afterwards desu.

Too bad you can't write.

But really every Plato's work matter?

Was thinking this. I make notes and my own commentary to reflect back on it.

Does literature even date that far back?

Start with the late Romans.

>yo dude we got like a billion pots of fish lmao

Yes

Same fag

They also have Gilgamesh you cow.

>this projecting from nowhere

Why are you so triggered by that post? Do you secretly feel that you're not gonna make it so you lashed out in anger? Is that it?

>Can't write in English
>Probably uses Google Translate
>Some one points that out

>Projecting this hard

why do you post

like this?

>why do I keep projecting all the time? it comes across as the most miserable and bitter tact that I could possibly choose and user seems to immediately see it and call it out the second that I try; yet I persist...

because reddit spacing is a meme

started by newfags

to call out other newfags

He's true though. You can't write.

>He's true though.

You mean he's right? Dipshit.

Look the only way he could feel knee-jerk anger off a post that innocuous is if he felt like he was lacking in some way. That's all there is to it.

Enough of user and his precious boy complexes.

It's wasteful. I know that makes no sense but it triggers me anyway. For some reason I feel like we should use these pixels more wisely.

Maybe he wasn't angry, maybe he was just making fun of you. Food for thought.

Holy shit dude, go hang yourself.

I hope you're a troll. If not, I'll keep triggering you until the thread dies.

I read Aristotle I, half of the collected works, in one week. I feel as if I missed a lot, but apparently it did its thing because about eight months later I was pargnant with a philosophy book that was muchly based on Aristotle.

The more you read Plato the more you will understand Plato, the more you will appreciate the dialogue format, the more you will begin thinking like Plato, the more you will understand Plato's humour and appreciate the Socratic irony. In a month and a half you'll be on your second reading of Greater Hippias laughing your arse off at Socrates talking about fine pots of fine bean soup. Such is Plato.

>sperg vigilante on a mission

Wew.

More like 25 days at the rate he's reading.

fucking frogs

you don't belong here

Why are you not starting with Homo Erectus cave drawings?

When you start with the greeks you dont start with plato

You start with Homo. Sorry, I meant to type Homer's Iliad.

the latest one can start is Parmenides

No you start with Mythology by Hamilton.

Holy shit OP you were to start with Goonan

>Read 2000+ year old stories
>Laugh at top bants
>Challenge some beliefs
>Get pumped and moved by the Apology
>Want to get drunk and talk about random shit with old men
>Find new hobbies when I'm an oldfag

Now have role model

I only read primary sources.

You should read both.

>I only read primary sources.

"How to never get the most out of what you read, in one easy step."

This is cute until you get to philosophy. You'll understand plenty of Plato but will miss out on a lot of the Platonic tradition; you won't have a fucking chance doing this with Aristotle.

I didn't start witth plato though.

>tfw you start Montaigne Essais
>read for 6 hours
>page 500/1600

I can't get enough of it.

No it wasn't you fucking illiterate. Pre-socratics first, retard.

Not him but how would you recommend reading Aristotle?

Just watch 5 minute greek philosphy videos on YouTube

>Was I not supposed to "start with the Greeks™"?
>starts with Plato.

p.r.

No man can match him.
