I don't need to cheat.

It's unnecessary in Western cuisine.
Nips have to use it because their food is so fucking bland. It's essentially a savory flavoring.

I'm not too lazy to develop flavor without a cripple's crutch to hobble on.

It doesn't go well with cherry Jello.

i have a big bag that i used once, most of the dinners i make have an adequate amount of oooo-mommy without it.

I'm not asian

I worked in a fish egg processing facility where we packaged eggs to export to japan. It was pretty crazy to see how many spoonfuls of salt and msg we heaped into each box, It's gotta be super unhealthy

because it gives me an excruciating headache

Not available at grocers here, I don't want to order it from the internets

I use it a lot. Goes great in curry.

Just realized this could be an acronym for, 'mmm so good' and I'll be saying this all the time now
>msg? You mean 'mmm so good'.

You don't have any form of Asian shop? They pretty much all have it.

msg is good when applied with Proto asian-spanish cuisine

It doesn't need to be added to everything. It's got its uses just like any other seasoning.

Because it sucks.

Where are you? In the PNW the brand we have is called Accent

>using MSG is cheating I don't need it to make my food taste good
>lol I still use salt though

No, not everything. Just anything you'd put salt on, which might not be everything but it's pretty close to everything.

MSG'd Caramel
MSG baked fish
Sprinkle some MSG on aubergine to draw the water out.

None of this seems to work, user.

Try it.
That one I've actually done, and it's fine.
I don't see why that one wouldn't work, either. MSG is just as hydrophilic as salt is.

Also, what part of "pretty close to everything" did you not understand?

>Just ANYTHING you'd put salt on

That part.

some retard user once said he uses parmesan as a "naturally occurring" source of salt instead of refined salt

That's nationwide not PNW-specific

>
>some retard user once said he uses parmesan as a "naturally occurring" source of salt instead of refined salt
He's correct.

I am

how do you think parmesan is made? picked off parmesan trees?

Great! Try curing or brining some meat with it instead of salt!

it's the bark actually, its scraped of the sides

Does it make that much of a difference than salt?
I guess ill make some samples so i can try myself. Would it work well in a bolognese sauce?

It's not the same as salt but it does have some salt content. So if you're seasoning with salt and msg you should probably reduce the amount of salt added. Bolognese doesn't need msg so much due to the glutamates in tomatoes.

I like to add msg to ground meat dishes like meatballs, burgers, and pelmeni

I'm holding off on it; I need to get some extra sugar, extra salt, extra oil, and MSG

yeah, salt gives you a headache, not the fact that you're an unhealthy fat retard.
