Traditional folk, classical, the more artistic form of jazz and punk.
Also 'folk' and artists like sun city girls who use a lot of drone.
Basically I'm a pretentious contrarian.
Poop punk
Screamo
Emo
Dad rock
Classic country
90s pop
New wave
Taylor swift
Classic rythem and blue
I used to be one of those metal only kids. I still listen to metal and rock; but always the same old stuff. Now i'm more into rap(on spanish, mostly); cumbia, mexican folk music, vaporwave, gg allin's country stuff...
My vote to the best musician goes either to Lemmy Kilmister, or Thomas Forsberg "Quorthon", founder of Bathrory
Phil Collins
entry level "indie" type stuff
Stravinsky. Check out Petrouchka or Rite of Spring conducted by Boulez, who brings the fire. Or the Firebird Suite conducted by Boulez or Stravinsky. That pagan flame filtered through a high-European sensibility, and eventually the Christian revelation (Agon, conducted by Stravinsky - fantastic).
Louis Armstrong, especially the Hot Five recordings from the 20s.
And this. youtube.com
Charlie Parker, in particular the high bop of his Dial recordings. Eg, The Hymn. youtube.com
Bob Dylan, in particular Blonde on Blonde and Love and Theft.
I personally only listen to the sound of pages being turned
true patrician
