never heard of this until now but looking at the author's Goodreads, he's influenced by Malzberg and Burroughs so everyone should read him.

Ligotti; Maldoror; Topor: The Tenant.
That's an impressive stack.
anything by China Mieville
This probably, or another famous anthology book callled The Dark Descent, although that one is a little bit older.
Anything from Eraserhead Press.
Although I personally liked Shall We Gather in the Garden by Kevin Donihe and Satan Burger by Carlton Mellick.
Keep in mind that you won't find the writing styles of Shakespeare or Robert Hughes, but it does make one think outside the box.
T.E.D. Klein -- Dark Gods, The Ceremonies
Thomas Ligotti -- Songs of a Dead Dreamer & Grimscribe
Richard Gavin -- Charnel Wine
Arthor Machen -- The Hill of Dreams, The Three Imposters, The Great God Pan
M.R. James -- The Collected Ghost Stories
Whatever you do, don't read The Croning.
It's awful.
The story to end all stories
Phillip K Dick
Blood Child and Other Stories by Octavia Butler
Its the kind of weird that will make you want to put down the book for a bit and walk about before reading the next paragraph
why do I keep seeing this thing being shilled on here? is this the author himself self-promoting or what?
Two self contained stories from nonhuman perspectives.
