If he wrote 100 words a day between now and when the last novel was written, he'd have roughly 219000 words, roughly 730 pages of manuscript. If he did 200 - 300 he'd have his normal manuscript length.
Most professional writers write anywhere between 500 - 1500 words a day. Fantasy writers usually towards the higher end of that, dealing with all the plot complexities that Martin deals with.
James Joyce wrote Ulysses in seven years. Martin has spent 6 on this book.

It's pretty clear whatever GGRM is doing, he isn't writing ASOIF. He might be telling himself he needs breaks, whatever, or what he is a writer and not the ASOIF so he should also work on other stuff, but whatever it is, he isn't writing it. Any writer who seriously sat down and spent the period he's spent working on a book of the kind he's working on would be done with it. His production rate is slimmer than the most exacting prose stylists working today. Gary Lutz, for example, has written more books in that length, and Lutz LITERALLY spends days on a sentence.
