>ww.nyrb.com/pages/nyrb-summer-sale
i bought a bunch of nybr books on amazon for cheap, might be better that way

>Anyone see anything else worthwhile?
obviously people need stoner. i recommend warlock, butchers crossing, and to each his own, although i know another user here hated it.

already read stoner . Still need to get to butchers crossing.

why would anyone spend that much money?

>those translations
no

Warlock is amazing. Better than Stoner.

Damn these are expensive as fuck.
Who actually has the money to buy new books?

>they call this a sale

I live in Canada, and I bought In The Heart of The Heart of The Country, BRAND NEW, at a used book store for $8

>He calls this a deal
I got unread copies of Beware of Pity, Skylark, and The Door for $4 each

from where?

Stoner is the only useful book. It's $11 here and $7 on bookdepository (not to mention shipping).
OP went full retard.

SoCal. Bookhounds and The Last Bookstore

I always get excited by NYRB sale emails until I realize that I can almost always get the same books for less on amazon any day I want, with free shipping. Even less from B&N since they pricematch amazon and have sales on top of that.

:\

John Williams - Augustus

ITT: "I love NYRB but hate actually paying for them"

based BMV, am I right?

I regretfully didn't buy Kissinger's World Order for $10, also brand new.

seconding this, and Junger's The Glass Bees is nice novella

Zama - Trash
Fatale - Good stuff
Zweig - Amazing
Skylark - Best of publisher
On the Abolition of all Political Parties - okish

They don't accept Paypal??

I got a hardcover version of Stoner for 5 dollars on amazon.com, this is a terrible sale.

World Order was a great read. A really pragmatic and systematic study. Pretty pessimistic about the future, though.

Life and Fate
The Peregrine

senpai it's literally cheaper on amazon year round.

You already know senpai

william rees-mogg is looking good these days

I found The Door and Beware of Pity for $1 each at a nearby thrift store.

Just finished Arabia Felix a couple days ago. I highly recommend it it was incredible

>find neat looking NYRB book
>it's actually just mediocre realism

>Even less from B&N since they pricematch amazon
What? They don't even pricematch their own website.

This any good, user?

what's so good about it

Fatale is the weakest Manchette book I've read. They should get The N'gustro Affair translated since it's supposed to be one of his best.

has any one read memoirs of a nervous illness?

I meant buy on bn.com but wait for a sale. They pricematch amazon (but with a delay so it's not always up to date) and you can stack their sales on top of that.
