Which has the better story?

Which has the better story?

Neither. Just read The Old Testament and stop there.

They're both useless, you can throw them in the trash

>English Standard Version

Bible. The Koran isn't written like a story.

100% this. NT is not story-oriented at all, and it's hard to appreciate it from a literary perspective since Jesus is literally a "can do absolutely no wrong" kind of character.

OT has tons of flawed protagonists, and even the proto-Jesus characters like David had genuine flaws or suspicious circumstances around their greatness.

Old Testament has funny stories. And Jesus is totally a bro.

Bible is a 50+ book mega series that is beyond epic and beautiful. Meanwhile the Quran is like a very shitty novella .

Forgot to to put "t." in front Cletus. Maybe spend more time here and less on r/thedonald.

The Bible is better, no contest. Don't fall for the Quran meme. Get a King James too, it's a classic of English literature and if a KJV is too hard for you to understand you're a fucking brainlet

>can do no wrong type of character
That's the point, you neanderthal

Read Acts and Revelation, very interesting from a story perspective

The Qur'an. It's a universal story / conversation given out by God, which details a universal message to all of humanity. The Bible's story is rife with contradictions and errors, though it's also quite good.

The quran is poetic as fuck desu. Nothing can compare

>heretic version of the bible

The Bible, obviously.
Quran is fucking bad written as hell.

I'm a muslim but story-wise the bible takes the cake. The Quran is more of a bunch of "greater understanding" book. There's a story every once in a while but it never reads as entertaining and engaging as the bible does. user who mentioned poetry, kek, only if you can read it in arabic.

Out of interest, do you know of a good English translation of Sahih al-Bukhari? There don't seem to be many.

>given out by God
No. It's a book compiled and edited by people long after Muhammad lived. Or did God perchance go to Aramaic texts to translate stuff into Arabic and put it into Qur'an to see if anyone would notice?

A daily reminder that Sunnis unironically believe the Qur'an to be uncreated and hence eternal. Now that's funny.

>Now that's funny.

Just admit that you are too stupid to comprehend the concept of the eternal and non-created (not uncreated) text that precedes writing as such.
