What is the reputation of the NCRP like? Does anyone know why Land no longer teaches there? I went on its website and found the organization to be a bit enigmatic.

Yeah, he got pushed out because of his tweeting/writing about "Human Biodiversity" and other topics deemed forbidden. It was outside pressure, not from NCRP administration, but they had to protect their credibility to the mainstream left.

To Land's credit, his lectures were very civil. He stayed away from his controversial views on genetics, kept to the subject matter of his lectures and had no problem teaching about and using "leftist" continental theory in his lectures.

In the 'Concept of Acceleration' lecture series, some of the participating students are authors of the 'Alt-Woke Manifesto', a left-accelerationist manifesto that was against Land and NRx. He engaged with them in good faith, though they weren't particularly friendly. About half-way through the lecture series, the NCRP had issued the statement (pic related) ousting him, but the class still has a great spirit, lots of interesting discussion.

I don't blame the NCRP. They're small, and they were targeted by a particularly nasty campaign of outsiders (Shutdown LD50). Reza and others are still teaching there, seems like a cool program, I just hope it doesn't keep falling prey to outrage politics of Vampire Castle.

I've never been able to find much appeal in NRx. Moldbug is of course a Jew, and it's telling to mentally replace "The Cathedral" with "The Synagogue" in his writings. Similarly Land is basically a shabbos goy who is unable or unwilling to name the Jew and just calls everything Communist, but he has a Jewish wife and thus Jewish kids so it's to be expected. So many words were spent by both parties on critiquing democracy as being rule by idiots and complaining about third-world immigrants as imported voters for left-wing parties, while making fun of the average alt-righter for blaming the ZOG for everything. Of course, the general population really did oppose third-world immigration from the beginning and most politicians in representative democracy really are (((bought and paid for))), so the /pol/tards were closer to being correct in the end. Go figure.

There just doesn't seem to be anything appealing about the sort of society that these people propose.

The main appeal of NRx to me is the right of Exit and privatized government that allows each ideological group to peacefully part ways without staying trapped in the same jurisdiction and fighting brutally for control over it.

In theory, people with ideological differences can agree to part ways and form separate countries without the rest of the NRx baggage. This does not happen all that often in reality, everyone wants to expand.

The only plausible way to prevent this is to have each micro-state be equipped with nuclear weapons. Given the number of nuclear near-misses between the US and Russia alone, this is nothing if not asking for disaster.

I could see the US, but with direct democracy in each state and the ability to form more states guaranteed by the Federal government. Perhaps you have ~100 states instead of 50. I guess I am inspired here by Prince Hans-Adam of Liechtenstein's book, but I don't agree with him on everything (especially not the open borders stuff).

Capitalist governments have no interest in losing population, natural resources, or industry infrastructure. Schism isn't a good business plan generally. Second, just because you divide the world into different ideological states, there is little reason to think that anyone's children would be interested in the same ideology as their parents. So a mandatory part of these microstates will be freedom of movement and ability to 'buy a new nationality'. Sounds great, but the number of ideologies that are interested in selling nationality (as opposed to inheriting it because of ethnic/historic precedent) is very small.

Further, it seems that capitalism works best on monopolized, gigantic scales. If capitalism is really in control, it will keep consolidating.

and this is exactly what you'd expect from a Jew, conveniently ignoring that this line of thought accomplished many good things before being poisoned by Jewish influence. For instance, protestants pre-WW2 in America were obsessed with building a better society through eugenics and were turbo-racists, which many people affiliated with NRx would probably like. Anti-racism is a relatively new (and Jewish) invention that sent the ruling class down the wrong path by taking advantage of their tendency to fall into purity spirals. it's just dishonest to not mention Jewish influence when critiquing the Cathedral (Synagogue).

The Trolley is Techno-Capitalism. The people on the tracks are human extinction, or more optimistically, a human zoo, a nature reserve maintained by Techno-Capitalism in which humanity will be the focus of conservation efforts. The Fat Man is whatever political or philosophical solution that could be presented in order to decelerate evolution of Techno-Capitalism, but no one has yet identified what the solution could even be.

The classic Trolley problem is "Timeless". It assumes that a rational human subject has time to weigh the cost and benefits of sacrificing the fat man, against the survival of the people on the tracks. "Would you kill Hitler to prevent the Holocaust?" assumes a full knowledge of the cost and benefit, and the ability and position to make that judgement. The Trolley Problem is Ethics devoid of Time. Land is arguing we may not have time remaining to fully grasp the consequences of acceleration, it is likely too late.

I think neither of the options you present will ever happen. Land does not seek to promote capitalism, he simply sees it as an "arrow of time" situation where capital has already won over humanity, which is where these people fail to grasp the jump in thought from your typical far right/neolib philosophy. And this is also where communists and others come into play: as being mere increases in the spectrum of option of markets. Are they revolutionary? Yes. Are they promoting the destruction of the very thing allowing them to exist (i.e capital)? Also yes. Are they ever going to succeed? Nope, not as long as they are within the system.

The people spilling this discourse are wetting their butts with plenty of the capitalist juice. They are high brow academics, politicians, and social justice marketeers looking to somehow break a game by playing by the game's rules. They are trying to find bugs without actually doing anything outside of the software's purity of purpose. This is a big point of debate among Left/Acc and left communists/anarchists. Whether or not technology can be divorced from techno-capitalism. Technology surely predates capitalism, but it's the mercantile world that allowed it to explode. Left Accelerationists are, non-ironically, pushing for what they call "Fully Automated Luxury Communism", literal technological utopia where no one is forced to work to live, but rather works because they want to use their time that way or otherwise doesn't work.

A big point of contention are ideas around the 'virtue of work', and that traditional communists (what an oxymoron) insist that work gives a person self-worth, but capitalism exploits that inherent self-worth through degrading conditions and terms. L/ACC instead says 'no', work should not be idealized, the point of technology should be to overcome physical toil.

It's a nice idea. And theoretically, there isn't any reason to imagine that techno-utopia, fully automated luxury communism isn't possible, but there is little reason in my mind to be optimistic about that actually coming to pass.
