Mfw fell for the cast iron meme

>mfw fell for the cast iron meme
>bought a Lodge skillet
>everything sticks to it

You killed a thread in order to make shitty bait, good post OP.

In all seriousness, how long does it take to break in cast iron?

Any kitchen tool that required extra work to use it
>Seasoning
>Preheating
Etc
Is useless, any meme grade for retarded people, especially cast irons pans

pm'd you the fix.

>not wanting to own a pan that will outlast the heat death of the universe

Like an hour tops if you do it right

>he doesn't deep fry everything
>the stuck burnt on food is the seasoning

Have you tried frying some bacon in it and not being a whiny crybaby?

>buy a cast iron pan
>clean it, scrub it with steel wool
>wipe it down with coconut oil after putting it on a burner
>put it in the oven for an hour
>take it out
>the grease comes off after one cooking use and it's a worthless piece of shit again

What a fucking meme.

>buy a non stick Tefal
>it works perfectly out of the box

>the chemicals seep into his food and he looks like the image he posted

>2018
>not wanting to be a cute girl (male)

Yeah, all those anodized aluminum chemicals. (?????)

>>wipe it down with coconut oil after putting it on a burner
>>put it in the oven for an hour
>>take it out
....do you think that's the proper way to season it or something?

Set your oven to 500f
Rub flax seed oil all over your unseasoned cast iron
wipe it off with a paper towel.
NOW put it in the oven for an hour or two.
Let it cool.

REPEAT 2-4 times.

That's how you season cast iron.

A single seasoning with coconut oil is fucking nothing even close to proper.

hot

Maybe you should just stick to microwaving lean cuisine meals if you can't figure out how to use a cast iron pan.

Profound opinion.

>teflon
>anodized aluminum
Material scientist coming through.

>buy a non stick Tefal
>coating comes off after one use

You say that like it's a bad thing.

Fuck knives then. Can't be bothered with the extra work of sharpening them.

Turn the heat down and use wood or plastic instead of metal next time. How did you fuck this up?

>Ovens are memes

Girls(males) are the best girls my nibba.

you retards do realize you couldn't figure out something that inbred, dumbass, uneducated hill people MASTERED centuries ago? I mean, how smart can you "enlightened" shitheads be if you get btfo by rednecks & hillbillies in the kitchen?

Just neck yourself, mate.

>Fuck knives then.

Why would anyone sharpen a knife? The grocery store sells new ones for less than $10 each. I buy about 2 per year, use them until they can't slice my tomatoes the way I like them, and then throw them out and buy new ones. Easy peasy.

I like you and want to hold your hand

Cast irons are more non stick than stainless steel, but less non stick than teflon/etc. pans.

Listen to make sure you don't have a bunch of extra oil in the pan when you throw it in the oven, it'll smoke like a motherfucker if you do. After seasoning once like this you shouldn't have to anything else for a long while, unless you fuck it up by scrubbing it all off with a harsh detergent and a steel wool.

>buy cast iron pan
>use it and don't wash for weeks
>now orange shit won't stop growing on it

Only used the cunt once aswell. What a waste

also known as rust?

>buys meme pan strictly suggested by the famous cooks known as americans
>gets surprised it's actually the shittiest pan on the book

Some people shouldn't be allowed near kitchens.

I'll stick to my cast iron that could be used to demolish a house or to murder someone and still be fine. Even if you do fuck up a cast iron pan, it can be be unfucked. Can't unfuck shitty, fragile nonstick coatings.

asl?

If you're having trouble with regular cast iron you should consider buying an enameled cast iron pan.

I have a le creuset grill pan. But I don't really see the appeal in any of their other stuff, too expensive.

Do you want to die you fucking cunt? I'll cut your fucking skin off and have you beg me to kill you

I'm I also have the Le Creuset grill pan as well as one of their dutch ovens in Cobalt. Love them both but they are pricey. It's worth it IMO if you want high quality cookware.

Not safe to get that shit properly hot, or else the coating dies. Also shit heat retention, I like cast iron for it's incredible heat retention, not anything else
