For fries, Satay.
I discovered a fabulous all-purpose sauce while I was at college
it's two parts Heinz 57, one part A1, and just a smidge of soy sauce, all mixed together
Sweet n sour sauce at McDonalds. Just vinegar if I'm at Five Guys. Ketchup most other places.
This.
Ketchup and mustard, duh.
pleb
Good honey mustard or classic dipping ranch. Ranch for salad dressing is disgusting though.
When I lived in the south, I'd go to Slim Chickens all the time because they have the best honey mustard and ranch I've ever had. Goes perfect with fries.
ranch is literally the only good salad dressing
Poutine is the way to go for fries. Brown gravy and cheese curds.
Honey Mustard, White Gravy or Chocolate malts
There's a difference between ranch used for salad dressing and ranch used as a dipping sauce for fries and chicken though. I think dipping sauce ranch uses buttermilk or something. It tastes way better.
I like homemade mayo-ketchup with fresh garlic.
anything besides ketchup
mayo + ketchup mix
1. Mayo
2. Plain, salted
3. Vinegar and coarse salt
...
>anybody saying mayo
you all sicken me
Y'all outta my league!

Either queso or THA GOOP
>soybean oil, random chemicals
No thanks
extra salt, really salty fries are the best.
When you use mayo, is it cold right out of the fridge or ~room temp to match the fries?
step back plebs
Room temp is better by miles
A1 steak sauce if I have it. Just can't beat it. Fries are also the ONLY thing I put ketchup on too.
That's what I figured, love some mayo, me
when fries are really good they need nothing
but ketchup is the only fry condiment
Blue cheese
The only condiment that should be on good fries is salt.
McDonald's fries are GOAT when they are hot.
Aioli, usually chipotle aioli
mustard aioli
seasoned salt
>mfw this is the only poster who's gotten it right so far
you guys are all doing it wrong
I'm kinda randumb XD
I like dipping my fries in ketchup
ranch
Me and my friends tried this once when we were drunk and ran out of ketchup.
We never looked back.
I've only ever had
>ketchup
>cheese
>gravy
I have to admit I'd like to broaden my options, but I only have fries when I'm at restaurants so the choice is basically just those!
Xanthan gum is an emulsifier, like eggs. EDTA is a chealating agent, it sequesters metal ions that can cause spoilage.
So that's a ''no''
Same. Straight mayo as a fry dip is delicious.
i wish more fast food places had gravy
Sweet and Sour, Steak Sauce, Cheese and ketchup
Chipotle mayo
This, there's a reason why it's called fry sauce.
Piccalilli is an English[1] interpretation of Indian pickles, a relish[2][3] of chopped pickled vegetables and spices;[4] regional recipes vary considerably.
wow this was a stupid necro
this might be the most neckbearded thread i've ever seen on this board.
the correct answer is obviously malt vinegar, but cocktail sauce is pretty good too.
>no bread
absolutely proletarian
My nan made the best chip sandwiches when I was younger.
How the fuck do you use cheese as a condiment
This right here
Do Europeans really do this?
I'm about to get some for diner right now, Chopped up a whole onion to go with it.
Eat it every sunday. One of my few moments of indulgence.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>/reddit/
Dont know about europeans as a whole, but the dutch do.
Because it's fucking delicious
Just make your own mayo since americans seem incapable of making decent mass produced mayo it seems.
Trust us, we invented fries.
Nothing. Just salt them properly, no need for any sauce or anything.
Also, "people" who put pepper on fries need to be gassed
I'm not eve lying. Not once in my life have I ever thought of putting pepper on fries. People really do this?
1. Mayo+Ketchup+Hot Sauce/Chili Powder
2. Ketchup
3. Seasoning Salt
4. Salt+Pepper
#absolutelydisgusting
Curry sauce lads
For me is A1
Fries give me another opportunity to drip A1 into my mouth. And provide crunch and potatoeyness to go along with it.
> I eat fries with my A1
>a gallon of A1
A) How much does that cost
B) Where can I get one?
There are people, RIGHT NOW, who don't put mayo on their fries. Laugh at these people.
>putting mayo on anything
CAPTCHA: STOP Rhonda
Everyone says this but it must be a different mayo because our is pracitically lard
>2017
>not putting vinegar on your fries
SHIG
costco, sams, sometimes amazon.
Try dutch mayo friend
I usually eat them plain or with some cheddar grated over them, but sometimes I invoke the forbidden technique of
drizzling soy sauce over them
soy sauce? Wont they become all soggy then?
No it's like how the english put vinegar on theirs, you don't douse them, you just lightly drizzle it over top
It doesnt sound very appealing, but I'll admit Im intrigued.
kewpie
this. On all fried or baked potatoes, actually.
This resonates with me.
Also anyone who said any variation on Aoli is ok with me (No straight mayo doesn't count).
Pic related is the god tier though. Cannot fucking believe even a single person in this thread knows how to properly chose their condiments
When i eat pic related, I dip my fries in the burger grease and egg yolk runoff, into which I sometimes mix ketchup.
Honey mustard.
There's a food truck near me that sells these parmesan fries with pesto aoli and I swear that fucking pesto aoli is like hearing the voice of God himself.
Dipping sauce ranch probably has more onion and seasonings in it vs the salad dressing that's for like picnics as the non offending option. Of course I always make both the same and one of them I mix a homemade spicy BBQ sauce into it.
