Cat's Cradle. The speech by the drunk ambassador is the most memorable piece of writing I've ever read. I won't pretend it's the best book, but it certainly occupies my thoughts at least once a day.

As I am constantly reading new books, I am constantly thinking of whatever I am currently reading, though I occasionally think back to the ending of Blood Meridian.
