>Loser
>Not a knight and his squire
Someone's been reading too many realist novels

Have you even read it faggot?

BORING.

WHERE THE FUCK ARE THE DRAGONS N SHET?

I thought the Bible was the best-selling book of all time

Don't get tilted dude.

>being such a pseud you can't appreciate sancho taking a fat shits next to don in the night

>a story about a loser

confirmed for not reading it or failing to understand it

don quixote is the only non-loser in the entire book

Yes, fiction book. Heh. Heh.

Well I mean it is a masterpiece.

> not enjoying the misadventures of two of the most lovable oafs in all of literature
> not appreciating the brilliant comic timing mixed with the concerns for mental health and lack of faith
> not appreciating the detailed digressions and side-stories of seemingly insignificant backstories that develop into a satisfying conclusion
> not being heartbroken by the ending

I doubt you read all 900+ pages, OP. Quit memeing and just fucking read it already.

Eh it's no Shakespeare but it's okay. The pessages where Cervantes lets Quixote spew commonsensical platitudes for pages about everything from warfare to mainting a kingdom because WOAH DUDE HES LIKE ACTUALLY INTELLIGENT BUT STILL A LOCO AHAHAHAHA, those are entirely skippable.

No one considers how frightening windmills actually are. They kind of look like swastikas if you stare at them spinning.

i think they're funny

It's hard to be crazy without intelligence.

no

>tfw learning spanish to read quixote in original
>tfw not making enough progress
Should I just give up, go pleb and read the translation?

I'm pretty sure it is not written in Spanish you learn.

You aren't seriously learning Spanish to read Don Quixote are you

there is cuckoldry so women and men love it

Why shouldn't he?

It was one of the motivations, not the only one obviously. It helped me a lot when traveling in Spain and Mexico. I'm also able to read some mid-tier Spanish lit like Shadow of the Wind or Isabel Allende's meme books, albeit slowly and with consulting dictionary. I feel I'm still far from the level required to read Quixote comfortably, though.

Also:
>David Ben Gurion learned Spanish so that he could read Miguel de Cervantes' novel Don Quixote de la Mancha in its original language, a book he considered a prerequisite to becoming an effective statesman. This achievement demonstrated his fierce will and determination to learn whatever he needed to learn to accomplish what he envisioned.

Because it's inspiring

Is Don Quixote the original Übermensch?

>a story about a loser
People love being able to identify with the protagonist.

Is this bait?
It was written in Catalan, not Spanish

Heh.

I think it's considered the first western novel.

There are people who learn Japanese just to watch anime.

It was written in Arabic and translated to Basque, not Catalan
