Completely agree, once you get the whole consumerism/psychopathy metaphor there's little else to appreciate. The movie sums up all the themes perfectly well and makes the book largely unnecessary unless you enjoy BEE repeating the same points for 400 pages over and over again with edgelord, controversy-seeking torture porn peppered in
