I need a starting point. Could someone suggest to me some basic material. I couldn't tell you much from history/government classes I took in highschool. Nothing really stuck.
I am taking interest in politics seeing how chaotic it all seems to be getting. I don't know wtf people are talking about though and it is painful to be ignorant or to have an opinion that isn't supported by much.
P.S. If you are posting /pol/ shit then please say so. Not that I am against it but I want to know if you are
I read the Economist weekly for five years, received my undergraduate degree in international affairs, and tried my heart out to become a political connoisseur in every way. And guess what I am now? A white nationalist. Pol had nothing to do with that transition, but as soon as I understood the JQ, after all that senseless work, it all suddenly made sense. You have to understand the jewish question if you want to understand politics and how the world works in general. Anyone who doesn't is only pretending they understand those things, as I once pretended I understood.
Colton Jenkins
start with what you're interested in. There's probably a book about the history and the politics/laws/regulation of it.
Or you can find something really broad, like oil or technology.
Brayden Martin

First get the facts so ideologists like /pol/ won't eat your brain. Read books on history, I have three to recommend that can give you the grounding you need, they are Tragedy & Hope, 1491, and The Anglo-American Establishment. After that read whatever orientation, but if you feel like I recommend The Anarchist FAQ.
Samuel Sanders
the best 'starting' point is 1984 if you didnt already read it in highschool. some will say this is '/pol shit' but a majority here should know better.

Read marx. Don't listen to what anyone tells you about marx, sit down and actually read marx. Then read the actual history of the ussr, because most of what you've been told is utter historical revisionism.
World history atm is in the monopoly capitalism stage. Unlike what most people/school/whatever will have you believe, neoliberalism is an ideology that prevailed when the bourgeoisie toppled feudalism through armed revolution. it followed a retrogressive course, with the first liberal state lasting merely for a few years (great revolution, uk). Marx will give you a good grasp of political economy and historical materialism. Two crucial things are for you to be able to exercise dialectical thought and critique, and also understand how materialism evolved from idealism.
Now if you really want to read what will basically go down in history as world changing in a few years, read vaziulin. for that though, you must know greek, german or russian. If you know greek, you can even go further and read Dimitris Patelis' books that are to be published in a year or 2.
Ryder Green
Western political systems work for jewish interests. Once you understand how that works ... the billions in aid, middle east wars, the global organizations, central banking dollar based empire, and so many other things that never seem to act in white people's interests are continually allowed to occur in our name.

Any supporting studies you've already made, for a specialty shoe-in to quicker introductory understanding?
My own choice.
All research will always be incomplete. Seems quite comprehensive though for the western tradition.
That makes you even more pathetic. If you're white, there's no excuse for you not understanding the jewish problem (and not using proper grammar as well btw); if you're some black/brown mixture, you have a better excuse since you're probably not very smart and understanding the jewish question requires strong intellectual capabilities.

I agree. But I never said it was like that anyway. Jews are tribal people who gain power through ethnic nepotism and do not act meritocracally. Technically that does involve "conspiring" but I know you aren't interested in the actual definition of the term.
Dominic Martin
the leap from "there is nepotism in the jewish community" to "jooz control the world" is a pretty big one. i am not denying there are jewish people within the ruling class of society, aka the capital owners, but it's not a requirement nor are all jewish people part of it. a jewish worker is as exploited as any worker
Liam Bailey
Don't get memed into The Republic is the only advice I can give you. It's, like, laughably bad. Read the sparknotes if you really want to, it will save you a lot of time.
Liam Campbell
No one said "jews control the world," dude. But you are still fundamentally lacking an understanding of the jewish question. That's okay, so did I once. It's a complicated subject but if you are white you owe it to yourself to try to understand it better. Jews have very different interests than white people, and when they are allowed to gain as much power over our institutions as they have, they wield that power in specific ways that more often than not are not beneficial to white people. If you want to look into how this manifests itself read Culture of Critique; it'll give you an entry level understanding.
James White

Wisdom and reason are lost on poor saps on you. You aren't near my level, kid, but if you want to pretend like you could one day arrive within reach, at least use proper grammar so you can feign being of age while babbling like a fool instead of babbling like a fool and coming off like a fucking 14 year old pussy.
Angel Bell
Regardless of what country you're from, I'd say start with the Federalist papers and the Anti-federalist papers.
These will allow you to understand the pragmatism of how modern governments, specifically liberal republics, are constructed, and why they're constructed in this such way.
These are a good starting point because they are readily understandable where fundamental political texts like Leviathan aren't as salient anymore.
Once you read these, then go back to the Greeks starting with Plato's Apology, to understand why democracy is fucking tyrannical, and then to England.
In the end of your studies you should understand that every possible permutation of distribution of powers will fail to safeguard the individual dignity and sanctity of the human person thus the state must be full decentralized to the point of abolition.
Workerbee on TPB has a ton more too by author, you can also find the public domain versions of some easily on archive.org or gutenberg.

Unironically OP try to understand the world from a geopolitical resource based perspective. Read prisoners of geography for a nice intro to the theme. Pick an idealogy whenever. Treat people shilling an idealogy as trying to sell you something. Anyone willing to put a concrete label on what they believe and not leave it doesn't have the answer.

>you shouldn't have any firm beliefs >anyone writing from a certain political perspective isn't worth reading
You sound like the perfect victim of neoliberal centrism. I'll take an honest ideologue any day over someone pretending to be neutral and objective.
Michael Cox
No, I have no problem with firm stances. I take a firm stance on every major issue I discuss, none of my views are centrist in any way. What I take issue with is buying a label and a whole set of beliefs hook line and sinker. Attaching names to sets of beliefs is the worst cancer that ever came upon politics.
Bentley Gomez
and moreover someone asks to be informed on political issues, and you fucking disgusting idealogues clamour for a convert like a crowd of unmarried mormons. How about you give him a bit of objective information and let him decide for himself instead of trying to convert him to your side.
Caleb Bennett
>not adding Kropotkin at the same time
Nathan Long
>objective information That's what you don't get, lmao. There is no objectivity in politics, the political spectrum is a clash of differing visions of society which are based on differing philosophical foundations. What would a classical liberal and a Marxist socialist agree when it comes to "objectivity" in politics? Getting informed about politics is done exactly by taking a stance because you're already involved in this game unless you're literally an emotionless robot.
Justin Nelson
>trying to derive your opinion from analyzing facts instead of a priori believing anything that the people on your political side tell you is "being a centrist" and "not having any firm beliefs" Karl Marx is rolling in his grave.
Mason Johnson
People who talk about jews and jewish influence =/= /pol/. This, however, seems like a concept that is too advanced for many idiots to comprehend.
David Campbell
There is objective information and statistics. The information and statistics exist, how you choose to interpret it differs. Here obviously we agree. What I am saying is that nobodys first foray into the realm of politics should be a highly biased fucking anarchist FAQ for example. Take a stance on issues, take a stance on every issue. Don't buy a fucking label. Don't drink the kool aid.
Jeremiah Morales
Well alright, if you are saying that one should start by reading economics, and getting informed about various schools of interpreting the workings of the economy, then I would agree. However this approach would already be derided as biased by a traditionalist conservative, for instance.
Kayden Hughes
Well then we're on the same boat. A traditionalist conservative isn't interested in the running of a stable economically viable state, he's only interested in morals, so we should not listen to him on economic issues would be my argument against that. Any traditionalist conservative worth his salt would admit the same.
